Custom RC, Peterbilt 378 Long Hauler,

Complete build of a 1:24 scale Peterbilt 378 Long Hauler model.
Since the truck is too good to stand around, I converted it into an RC model. I changed the original Italeri kit as little as possible.
Only the new mudguards and a fully functioning LED lighting had to be installed.
The chassis, gearboxes and all other parts were designed in-house and printed in PLA using a 3D printer. I will upload the STL files to Thingiverse soon.
A mobile phone with TouchOSC and a Wemos D1-mini with WLAN are used as RC controls. The LED lighting and the steering servo can be controlled directly via the D1.
For the motor I use the Dual motor shield. I will create a separate video about the controller and the Arduino code.
For my first construction project with a video shoot, I am very satisfied. The truck looks great and the editing of the video material is now working quite well.

Vollständiger Bau eines Peterbilt 378 Long Hauler Modells im Maßstab 1:24.
Da der Truck zum rumstehen viel zu schade ist, habe ich ihn zu einem RC Modell umgebaut. Den originalen Bausatz von Italeri habe ich dabei so gering wie möglich verändert.
Nur die neuen Schutzbleche und eine komplett funktionierende LED Beleuchtung mussten unbedingt eingebaut werden.
Das Chassis, die Getriebe und alle anderen Teile wurden selbst entworfen und mit einem 3D Drucker in PLA gedruckt. Die STL Dateien werde ich bald auf Thingiverse hochladen.
Als RC Steuerung kommt ein Handy mit TouchOSC und ein Wemos D1-mini mit WLAN zum Einsatz. Die LED Beleuchtung und der Lenkservo können direkt über den D1 angesteuert werden. Für den Motor verwende ich den Dual Motortreiber.
Über die Steuerung und den Arduino Code werde ich noch ein separates Video erstellen.
Für mein erstes Bauprojekt mit Videodreh bin ich sehr zufrieden. Der Truck sieht toll aus und auch das schneiden des Videomaterials klappt mittlerweile ganz gut.

Would this work for other brands of kits? Even just the diffs ? Could the motor be straight so it could fit under or between the rails? Looking for a universal solution for some kits i want to convert but they all different chassis. Thanks for your hard work on this!

May I ask if ur selling the rear fenders please?. I've been looking for years.. I've even started making them from styrene sheets. But they never come out the way I anticipated. Please can u help me get a set for my regular 378 please sir?

Bonjour, j'ai trouve votre realisation geniale, et magnifique, j'ai donc acheter la boite du camion et le construit actuellement. J'ai imprimé la transmission qui est tres bien pensée, parfait, mais je n'ai pas trouver les palliers et chassis. Les avez vous mis en ligne ? votre montage est parfait et je ne voudrais pas creer des fichiers qui soit mediocre pour une si belle realisation. Je vous remercie d'avance pour votre reponse.
