@@TxKiller I can only imagine, I must say I am jealous. I’ve been looking for my first bolt gun and happened to come across this video. Now I just need to figure out a way to justify the purchase to the warden lol.

I’m so glad I got my Remington 700 PCR And my 2-10x32 vortex viper pst gen2. You literally helped me make my final decision to buy them both! I was stuck between the PCR and the standard 700.

Nice that you love bolt rifles Sir . I'm still using a Rem 700 in 30-06 match made to 40XB rangemaster specs ( All done by Mr Shilen himself ! way back in the 1980s and still a 1/2 moa rifle ) with a HS precision pro varmint stock ( works better for offhand ) than the pss stocks . Yep its old tech but works all day long with an old Leupold Mark 4 on top ( LOL , I never had issues with mildots and moa dials ( lots of time behind that glass ) . Well enough rambling , I love your videos and happy hunting .

Yeah .308 is a great round can't go wrong with it but at the end of the day it was meant to be an intermediate cartridge for an infantry rifle. For your semi auto, HK91, FN FAL, DPMS/LR308 it's my favorite but If you're going to go all out for range and precision especially with a custom bolt gun you have better options like 6.5Creedmoor.

Nice video, but its okay to dial in Spin drift using your windage adjustment, on the scope. Then use the reticle for windage downrange.

Killer, love your custom Remington 6.5, but I may be copying a lot of your other bolt gun with the Manners Adjustable in “Tommy Bahama”? I hope I got the color right. Being built by GAP in .308. I plan on putting a Steiner M5Xi 3-15 on it, but the whole package once I get the peq-15 and pvs-30 will be the sh*t!! Please showcase that piece of artwork!!

Would love the full breakdown of the action work this pew pew had done! Getting 2 x 700 actions customized/trued/blueprinted right now. Shorty mag bolt face for a 6.5PRC and a long mag bolt face for a 7mmPRC (this one is actually a 300WM, which I could swap to and from with). I am just doing a superlight howa for hunting, these customs weigh too much! My 308, like this one, weighs 12.75lb and fk that for lugging through the bush!

Just curious, why haven’t you put Arca rails on your guns? I feel like it would be so much easier running a ball head with an arca on the tripod vs the clamp on the tripod.

I have two questions one did they ever fix the safety problem at 700 had with when you take your safety off the gun would sometimes fire? Number two don't decree 6.5 burn barrel side really fast?

Factory finish is sick! Why people are asking you why 6.5 over .308 is such a a stupid question. It’s flatter than .308. That’s it. A lot of people are trying to convert their SCAR17s to 6.5 even.
@TxKiller5 жыл бұрын
The Golf Life I like the finish myself but doesn’t do well with moisture. I hear you on the ballistics but a lot of people don’t know that.

Mr. Worthington Remington 700 is the model, 6.5 Creedmoor is the caliber it’s chambered in. You can buy a production already chambered in 6.5 or get one built.
