Absolutely. The wide toe box is what makes Jim green boots great. I love my Vellies for the wide toe box, but I also think the toe box looks more rugged and utilitarian than most other chukka's. They are an excellent rugged warm weather utility shoe. The narrower toe box last looks fine on something like the Shoelie, but on boots the wide toe box looks perfectly normal if not better and that comfort is noticeable.

I like the honesty of positives and negatives of each boot, last and sole. That gives the buyer peace of mind when buying. Would love to own my first pair of JG. But prices are a bit steep. Definitely one day.

First moc toe you showed along with that tyre wedge sole and the pull up leather you showed in a different video on a Ranger. I would 100% buy that boot.

the 2nd moctoe shown seems to be not as busy in the panelling, plus the flexibility cut would be great for a taller gym shoe and general leg+foot motions. the padded collar is a great feature for comfort along with keeping debris out. one thing i would change is the eyelet panels, having it be a separate piece like the AR, Baobab, and Numzaan would be great for the reason it was implemented, along with stylistically speaking! the 1st moctoe shown just doesnt look particularly nice in my opinion, although some would certainly like it, so why not introduce both designs as a grand release for the new JG moctoe line

Im excited to see where y'all go with the Moc Toe boots. If anything I do hope the stock model runs the JG last. EE width Moc Toe boots are a dime a dozen. Going with an EEE width would fill niche that has been lacking, moreso with the shape of your lasts. Regardless, I hope the best for the Jim Green brand as a whole regardless of the direction it goes!

Really excited about the moc toe! Personally I like the taller but I always prefer the wedge oringo sole. Reason being is I work as a gardener and that sole is the perfect balance of grip but also doesn’t pick up mud and rocks when going from garden to hard surface on clients property. I also run a little leather shop for gardening tool holders and and actually sold Jim Green Boots for a while (I need to reorder soon) but I think you all make the perfect balance of weight/quality for gardening and landscaping!

Those barefoot vellies are activating my almonds, had a similar idea for a custom pair. Barefoot, roughout buffalo vellie, minimal branding like the shoellie. Seems like a killer lighweight, durable boot for the summer

Taller moc toe boot for sure, if it can inherit the “game hunter” style of low profile tread and a wide toe box I’m sold. Dark brown and a deer skin tan color too! Maybe even a black leather with green stitching. Not too many black Mocs on the market.

Mocs look great, especially the taller one. I’m a fan of zero drop, wide toe box, barefoot feel so if there was a moc option of that, or even a custom option, I’d go for it.

I prefer the shorter moc toe, I feel like it differentiates itself from the rest of the heritage style makers most of whom have 6" moc toes. Also, I'm really hoping the moc toes have a stitch down or good year welt construction!

theyre a traditional moccasin construction, meaning the leather of the upper wraps around the bottom of your foot like a bathtub (does this make sense?)

I like that short moc toe style. It almost looks like a sneaker. The other 6 inch moc toe is good for work it looks like. But if prefer a higher toe box on the 6 inch as it looks so flat. Maybe half an inch or an inch extra height on the toe box. That's what we have in the USA usually so I think I'm use to that look which I prefer on a 6 inch.

The Moc toe boots should come in stock with a vegetable tan leather insole and midsole, just like the Numzaan. Your other traditional boots are too hard under foot with the synthetic base components.

The moc toes look nice but I was hoping for a moc toe work boot. The ones you showed look more like casual wear boots than work boots. Maybe try for something similar to the Whites Fulton. That boot is great. I think JG can do this if they try and integrate the razorback awesomeness into the moc toe boot.

I like those barefoot vellies . I like that they are still the same last as the non-barefoot. I have the barefoot AR and I have some Razorbacks with the wedge sole. The width of the Razorback fits my foot perfect. Looking forward to getting some AR8s. love the barefoot soles though. I need the structured toe for work.

Hi there, I looking for some suggestions for the best of Jim Green products for someone who is on their feet all day, standing on concrete, dirt, mud, and going up and down ladders, and kneeling while working on the ground. I was looking at the wedge sole razorback as a good choice. I am prepared to break in the boots and I am just ready for a pair of boots that doesn't give out on me in a year or two. My next pair of boots will definitely be Jim Green, just trying to find the best boot for my particular work situation. Thank you Jim Green!

Not to say you should copy products from other brands...but Clarks has compromised the quality of the Wallaby in recent years and how includes a wedge of foam in the sole - it's no longer pure crepe rubber. Something like the Shoellie but with a moc-toe and wedge sole would be pretty nice to offer a high quality alternative.

I'm trying so hard to wear out my ARs, my Vellies too, but they just keep getting better. How am I supposed to justify Stockmans and Shoelies when my feet are already so happy? I never thought footwear could become an existential problem.

Only issue I have with Jim Green is how expensive they are getting. Having been following them over the last few years I've seen that price climb steadily. Some of them are getting ridiculous

I noticed that too. I think my last custom order was about $30-$40 more than a very similar spec I had ordered just a couple of months prior. I was surprised but still happy with the quality of materials and workmanship. I just hope they don’t continue to increase their prices at this rate. “Don’t bite the hand that feeds you”. I’m still very happy with my JG’s though. They’re pretty much all I wear anymore and I really enjoy my custom Shoellies in these warmer months.

The pricing is still more than reasonable, especially for the customs. They just entered the market at an exceptionally low price point. I’m happy to pay a little more to support the brand and what they’re trying to accomplish.
