Idk what's up with KZbin this channel needs more attention! My buddy builds Mandalorian armor costumes. He is a welder/fabricator like myself. So his armors are pretty realistic and are super nice. Long story short he just pulled me into this hobby. I was looking for something to keep me busy on my free time. I've always been a fan of Scifi and Star Wars in general. So I'm thinking about building my own Mando suit myself. So far I have found your channel and createscifi's channel. I have found many tips and tricks and great ideas from you guys. I appreciate your content and thanks for the help.

Brian, I know I speak for everyone when I say; We appreciate all the time and effort you put into your channel. We like how you talk directly to us at the beginning.. taking the time to explain.. then take the time to film the work.. then take the time to painstakingly put it into a F’ing video! We know that is an immense amount of time and dedication! Please keep going! I was one of the few subs to The King of Random. Grant Thompson (RIP) always said focus on content and quality production. You have the right formula! Very will soon have 1M subs! Absolutely! Because you keep the channel funny and exciting. You have inspired me to finally get off my ass and launch my KZbin channel!

Man, my original concept for a mask was an Astromech-style head but I’m far too limited on materials so I went with foam and a goofy looking robot instead. It works for now but for the second album I’ll need an upgrade. The dome is the huge thing. LED’s are also going to be important. This helps a lot.

Love this! I would love to see a bit of a different version of mounting for it though. It would be cool if you had one of those arms coming out of it and plugged into an data access port for droids. You could actually make an internal frame to support the droid on the arm and it would give the appearance of the droid floating while accessing information. You could run wires though the arm to turn a lazy susan device to make the top of the droids head turn a little with some gears and programing. It would be magic!
@TheSmugglersRoom4 жыл бұрын
Hey thank you much. The base it is sitting in on this video is definitely not the final version. We are actually planning a really great display for our room build. We want it to spin and give the appearance of floating, this will have lighting, motion detection, etc. all that being said, I LOVE your idea of an arm supporting the droid to make it float. Seriously we are going to have to include something like that, and give you full credit of course. Thanks so much for the suggestion.

@@TheSmugglersRoom I understand you don't know what price the domes will be but could you give me an estimate that is unless you don't want to reply to me 10000000000000000000000000 times 😅

Also, when you’re brushing on the model kit pieces, is that just more glue to ensure full contact or is it some other trick I’ve missed?

@@FamineStudios It's actually a product called Weld-On 3 (there is a link in the show notes) . it works incredibly well on plastic and styrene. So you just use a thin brush to apply it. Super easy (sorry, i should point that type of stuff out, still learning this whole process) . Thanks for watching!

The Smugglers Room no problem! Sometimes I tend to gloss over information I don’t think will be immediately useful to me until I get to a point where I’m doing similar projects, so now I’m trying to pay closer attention and worried I had missed something. 😂

Brian, let's see if you can build a Droid that can interpret every language within the US, including German and French and Russian I would like you to I would like you to build a new drawer that could translate all the languages. Russian, German, all different languages in the world. That way I have an interpreter that I can actually trust on what he's telling me to be the truth that I need a protocol. Droid that's able to interpret our languages please

Hate to bring this up, but I have to know since I have loved watching your channel the last couple of months. A channel I would never have found without search criteria, and recommended videos. But will the new KZbin Laws with the FTC affect you? Their wording on the content of videos are so minuscule, and leaves a lot of interpretation of it's definition. I can clearly see your content is not meant for children, as I am an adult who can comprehend common sense. However, a lot of content revolves around star wars, which in the broad blanketing of the law would fall under "for children." Any rationale person should understand that a child has no business working with airbrushes, compressors, cnc cutters, 3d printers, etc, but the FTC isn't seeing it that way. I would hate for your channel to just go away, and a lot of us cannot afford to be patreon members to all the content providers we follow. Plus, I would hate for you guys and all the ones I follow to be hit with the ramifications of these ludicrous fines and penalties.

Hi Michael, you are correct, the COPPA law and FTC changes to KZbin are very concerning for us. We have read many many articles, watched other videos, and more. I have personally read the COPPA cover to cover several times, as well as other published follow up documents as it pertains to creators. At the end of the day there is certainly no clear answer. The biggest concern, as you mentioned, is the fact content that "appeals" to kids could be considered "made for kids." We consider ourselves as a general audience channel, meaning that we could "appeal" to many different people of a variety of ages, and that could be an issue. That being said, we intend to push forward. We are not targeting children under the age of 13, and as you also mentioned, we build using tools that kids should likely not be using unless supervised by an adult, which is how they should watch KZbin as well . . . adult supervision. We are not sure what the future will bring, but The Smugglers Room is here to stay. We may have to alter how we are seen, where we post, and how we deliver content to you but we'll cross each bridge as it comes. thank you so much for the support!
