This week we're knocking out some of our final fabrication before we tear this lifted Chevy K10 squarebody down even farther for paint! This supercharged LT4 K10 is getting all the swiss cheese holes in the frame plugged up, and while we're there welding, we're also going to measure out and fabricate our King Shocks bump stop mounts that came in our ORD kit! We're not stopping there with frame work either. Our front shock hoops are blocking the best path for our steering shaft, so we're knocking out a chuck from the hoop, and reinforcing it so we can have the best steering angle to turn the massive tires that are going on this off road K10! The cab of the squarebody is getting worked on this episode too, with some custom sheet metal for the fire wall. All the awkward bumps, divets and holes in the original firewall just didn't look up to par for the truck we're building. So we're breaking out the cutting wheel and going to town taking out pieces of this cab. The new bead rolled metal not only gives the front of the cab a much sleeker look, but also adds back in the rigidity we removed when cutting away all the bracing and brackets. By the end of the episode, we have this off road ready, lifted, supercharged, angry K10 squarebody ready to be stripped down for paint. So make sure to like and subscribe so you don't miss this Chevy getting painted, polished, and put back together one last time!
