I use a sharpie variety pack and use a different color for each plot point. Good stuff! I’ve been doing this for race cars for years and still learn new stuff.

How do you work out castor angle?
@ThePaintPaperHustle11 сағат бұрын
That will be in a later video. Maybe a week or so for y’all. We are doing that this weekend but there’s like 6 videos ahead of the filming this weekend.

@ThePaintPaperHustle couldn't you get a Silverado and make a negative jig off the front suspension mounting points and work out mounting points from there
@ThePaintPaperHustle9 сағат бұрын
You could but that’s a lot of work and then you’re using the factory ride height geometry which isn’t the same as this being slammed. It’d probably work but doing it custom you get it 100% built to fit. And then copying the oem points also teach you nothing so then on your next build if you can’t copy you’ll then have to back track and learn it. It’d work but kinda pointless
@talleneagle19743 күн бұрын
They always say get your bottom arm as close to level at ride height aa possible. so i would assume that your top arm would just be close to whatever degree your bottom arm is sloping down.

before you cut the front structure why didnt you brace it back by the firewall?
@ThePaintPaperHustle3 күн бұрын
What front structure? Everything is good to go
@ThePaintPaperHustle3 күн бұрын
Like brace the two frame rails?
@leestadnyk55733 күн бұрын
yes yoy knotched your box why didnt you brace the frame rails under the cab befire you ooened the box to mock uo the front steering assembly

Bc it’s 2x6 1/4” thick and has zero flex. Even with the notch it held the full weight of motor with zero flex
@DooDeeDew3 күн бұрын
You misinterpret what's going on, he has put the body on a metal rectangular jig, the frame will be built between this jig and the body of the car. The part that you stated front structure is not a frame it is a jig, when the frame structure is built he will remove the jig because it's not connected to the car, at this point it is only holding the body in the air.
@auriceburrell81483 күн бұрын
Well also with this vs the comet your not trying to get 7-9in of front travel. Should be a bit simpler
@ThePaintPaperHustle3 күн бұрын
Alittle but still the same process to figure it out
@markz73833 күн бұрын
Why not go find the year truck these control arms are for and measure off that truck for mounting points?
@ThePaintPaperHustle3 күн бұрын
Because all that geometry is for factory ride height of a truck. We are way lower and using aftermarket lowering arms. I’m sure it would work ok but this way we know we are perfect.
