i wish they could make colored grips that have the same texture as the official grips from Nintendo. I still use the colored ones cause they look cool, but those dots on the normal grips feel so good to hold.

cause if your playing fps you cant run at full speed unless your got the left joystick straight up. makes games like doom sort of unplayable

Guys I'm begging you please try your own hand at modding your controller. It's much cheaper and it feels fantastic when you know you're the one who did that. I recently modded mine with clicky face buttons and triggers, and added some notches because why the hell not, and when I saw a shop selling these custom made, I felt such a wave of relief.

i just did that and getting out the tiny metal bars was pretty easy for me actually. there are holes on the underside throigh wich you can poke with a toothpick to shove the metal bar out. If you digure it out, its very easy. dont be scared of that guys

Do these controllers use the same type of thumbstick that Nintendo uses? I had drift with my pro controller and I don't want that to happen with these.

So these are just custom shells/buttons/joysticks for the Pro Controller. They use all of Nintendo's OEM internal parts aside from swapping whatever colors you want to fit your aesthetic. I assume that by simply replacing the joystick, that might not actually fix the drift. I've fixed joycon drift before, but I've personally never had drift with any of my pro controllers so I'm not sure what to suggest for that. I'm sure there's tutorials out there for fixing it though. My pink pro controller has white joysticks that I've swapped out for the standard black ones and it's a very easy swap. But I doubt that would fix any drift since it's just replacing the plastic piece essentially. Hope that helps at all.

they're just replacement shells for an existing pro controller, so they work the same as a regular one

You're joking about the metal bar? Please tell me you are joking. Take something small and grippy, like small needle nose and just pull it out. The side you cut, you can push with a small screw driver to get it out further to make it easier to grip for the pull.

@@beard-monster So I didn't specifically mention everything I tried in the video, but yes...I did BOTH of those things for an extended period of time while trying multiple different tools. For some reason, that pro controller just would NOT let me that bar out. It was driving me crazy. So that's why I resorted to just cutting out the plastic that was hindering the metal bar from being released.

Those are Super Famicom colored buttons, not N64 colored.

I dunno, I'm looking at a N64 controller right now and Start is red, B is green, A is blue, and the C buttons are yellow. I know what you mean though, the SFC buttons are the same colors and are laid out exactly like the buttons on a Pro Controller, whereas the N64 buttons are all over the gd place.

Nice! Out of all those, I think I like the NES design the best, even though I’m typically not a fan of how it’s translated on other controllers. I wanted a custom Wii U pro controller, but took too long and got one for Switch instead (search: “Zoki64 custom pearl blue”). My favourite colour is blue, and I like Swampert, so I based it off his colour scheme of blue/orange, but with white accents. Sounds bad, but I think it works. Only the face buttons are orange so there isn’t a huge clash of busy colours vying for your attention.
