Something to consider... Our trucks at work use the same Boxes. Those side doors pop open all the time. You reversed the box. If those door pop open and you're on the highway, they might get ripped off and everything inside the cabinet could come out.

since you needed to narrow one board that was in that floor you couldve ran all the board through the saw to get the bends out the length of them and have the boards fit tighter in the bed the burning actually protects against rotting , the chineese have a name for it "Shou Sugi Ban", might do the underside too though to realy protect it
