I recently picked this exact boat up, rebuilt the engine, pump, restored the seats, installed a stereo, 4 speakers and amp. What is the model number of this one? Every seadoo challenger picture that comes up on google...same year is entirely different.

Its a 97 Challenger with a single 787. Newer year Challengers got 2 787 engines and then 951 engines i believe

Do you like it? Ive been debating adding a seadoo jetboat to my fleet collection. Just not sure what to go with, double 717s, single 787, double 787s, or 951s? I think i wouldn't mind double 717s as they are pretty bulletproof and no raves to deal with. The power of two 717s should be plenty i think. This one was a single 787, i couldn't imagine having to deal with two 787s and all their maintenance.

Hi I have same seedoo I swap rebuild engine it works 3 hours After that no throttle Outside water is ok In water it’s dying What could be wrong let me know thanks in advance

I got one but I need some one to work on it. Powers right up and moves but it wount pick up speed. Lots of smoke I need help please

If when in the water and the engine revs up high but has no forward momentum, like a slipping clutch, thats probably the wear ring needing replacing.

@@GCEXTREMEMN it does move and shoot out alot of water but not fast at all feels like alittle bit faster then a trolling motor. thanks I will try that. Just gotta find someone near me who works on them. Do you know where I can order a wear ring for it?

How much would a job like this cost?

Anywhere from $400 and up. Carb kit is about $160. Oil lines and supplies another $100. Plus oil. Then a few hours of labor so about $400.

Boat was stored all winter but forgot to put fuel stabilizer in do you think that could cause my boat to not get full RPMs going about 5000 and not going anymore was working fine the day before was going full speed yesterday had issues and wasn’t going more than that RPM and no more than say 1015 mph

@@jeffmahone5382 are you running non-oxy, non-ethanol? Dont need fuel stabilizer if youre running that. Could be a fuel or carb issue if its not revving. If its revving and NOT moving, like a slipping clutch, then thats a pump/wear ring issue
