HVAC is a great guy and I love watching his videos. I would however never leave wires sticking out of the top of the fan cage. It is asking for trouble. I know he did it to keep the wires from getting into the fan but he should have secured them under the cage out of the way of squirrels and kids.
@kuhrd6 ай бұрын
Yeah I would have pulled the wires back and checked that they were not also spliced where they were shoved through the top. Takes more time but I am guessing the wires right out of the motor were already brittle and he did not want to do any more damage and have to replace the entire motor. Still it would have been nice to see the wires sticking out of the top addressed.

My inlaws live in a mobile and oh my. Just about shy of this setup. They live a different life and can't find their way out of a paper bag. Even after discussing the basics. Nice work. Keep on. I turned my swap out on and it is sublime. My old r22 system was loafing along for the 9 years we lived here. I didn't know anything and didn't want to touch it previous. I just had to throw it away. Inverter is super quiet compared to any standard looking outdoor unit.

Those heat shrink weatherproof crimp connectors are a nice upgrade to the cheap ones that vibrate and rust off every 6 months. They melt and glue themselves sealed tight around both wires on either side. Also then you don't need the electrical tape. Highly recommended.

The condensor is well taken care of like the rest of the place. What a mess. I don't understand how people live like that. It doesn't take money to get out and clean things up. I wouldn't have left that wire sticking out the top. Just reflects on you, even though you didn't do it. Also, I hope you pulled those weeds out of the coils. They will continue to wind around through there. I guess with you dealing with so many poorly maintained units, you get tired of doing their maintenance. Love the bucket of wires.
