Hi James, back in my days of owning a semi truck I always kept an assortment of o-rings, (dot approved from the dealer) and spent many hours replacing them during down time on the road. They flatten out and harden over time. Easy to change with a small pick. Mine i made from an 11/2" paperclip. Also its a good idea to cut the hose back 1/2" or so as it gets compressed by the o-ring. Really a much cheaper and easier option. P.S. my 2005 Country Coach Intrigue will sit for a month and won't lose 5 psi. Another reason why I love my Country Coach! Merry Christmas to you and yours James and thanks for all the informative and entertaining videos!!

That's a great tip about the o-rings - those are definitely a maintenance item. Thanks!

Working on school buses I hosed everything down with soapy water when looking for air leaks. Came across a number of leaky airbags that we didn't think were leaking. Merry Christmas and Happy New years!

Nothing as un-nerving as being under a coach working on the air bag system. Always use higher rating jack stands. With the system deflated, even skinny techs have a tough time with chassis sitting on the bottom. I made ramps from railroad ties to get mine up about 10" higher. So much easier and SAFER.

I had an air problem and it turned out to be the cannon plug going through the firewall withe the electrical system to the level system. It took about 6 months of complaining then two days in the shop with a good mechanic who was digging in to the fix. Marry Christmas and hope you have a fantastic new year.

I feel for ya bud. I hate those stab fittings! My history with them is on emergency vehicles and they are the reason I refuse to have any of that style plumbing in my home. That crap will always begin leaking at some point. We ONLY replaced them with compression fittings and no swivels. My worst experience was spending five solid days trying to find a leak on a fire truck. Find a leak, fix it, run the engine and air it back up, wait an hour and it's still leaking... repeat until all leaks are repaired. Can ya hear my Lurch moan? The guys on emergency vehicles have to be suited, booted and out the door in less than two minutes and that's not going to happen if they have to wait for the truck to build air.

IMHO, as long as you fully inform the customer of the risk of not replacing everything and why this is true, then if they request you to repair only what has been found, that is on them. If I were you, I would consider consulting with a local attorney to help you come up with language for these types of repairs (and others)

There should be a timer on display to drain the air tank

I love that classic BMW 2002 tii in the background of your video. On the forums, we referred to those valves as six pack valves. I have the HWH system on my dynasty, but it’s not much different. I have compression fittings on mine so where is a good place to get the push type quarter inch fittings? Every time I do that kind of work under my motorhome I wish I have done more situps on a regular basis. I think you know what I mean.
