Every time I watch one of these videos I think about how I started hearing a weird squeaking noise in my car. It was strange and metallic, a rhythmic little sound that happened SOMETIMES when I steered left or right, but not always! I was worried there was something wrong in the steering column, until one day when I listened carefully... And noticed the sound was coming from higher up. I lifted my gaze to see the tiny plush I have hanging on my rearview mirror, swinging back and forth with the momentum of the turn. It had slipped slightly so that the metal ball chain was rubbing against the winshield. But for the grace of god... I could've become a Just Rolled In.

It's honestly better to be paranoid and try to repair your car than to be neglectful. When time i was walking with my buddy talking bout his LS swapped el camino and a car drove by knocking so bad his engine probably had minutes of life left before it lets go at best. I said "Damn, that dude knocks his car harder than he does his GF." We all fucking died right there in the middle of the park. Would have been funnier if the engine let go shortly after, but sadly life isn't always so cinematic for us lol.

@@Splicher In the case of a country where there is no certification inspection system, in the used car market in countries where the system exists, vehicles that would otherwise only be treated as "parts cars" or "objects" because they cannot be recertified will be circulating as "abnormally cheap cars" 😱 However, that doesn't mean that such used cars "never come on the market" in Japan either. There are rare cases where unnaturally cheap cars exist despite there still being some time left on the validity period of the certification, and among these cars there are some "with frames so rusty that it is impossible to continue obtaining certification" 😇

@@Splicher If there is no certification inspection system in a country, in the used car market in a country where the system exists, vehicles that would normally be treated as "parts cars" or "objects" because they cannot be recertified will be circulated as "abnormally cheap cars" 😱 However, this does not mean that such used cars will never be sold in Japan. There are rare cases where unnaturally cheap cars exist even though the certification validity period remains to a certain extent, and among such cars, there are some whose frames are so rusty that they cannot be recertified.😇 In addition, although there are fewer of them now due to strengthened monitoring and crackdowns, it was also true that among private companies that conduct certification inspections with the approval of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, there were unscrupulous companies that issued fraudulent certifications without inspecting the actual vehicle body, only through document review and "fabricated inspection photos (a method of repeatedly using evidence photos of the same vehicle that has been legitimately certified)". In extremely malicious cases, the VIN number was replaced with the entire body panel, or a method of copying it by unauthorized stamping was also used. Until about 25 years ago, when the manga "Initial D" was popular, this was used as an illegal method to "recirculate" stolen cars or classic cars whose VIN numbers had been lost.😱

I don't think you would see too much of this in Japan! First of all, Japanese vehicles are the best in the world, and they have a wonderful education system! In North America you have Ford, Chrysler and General Motors and a flawed education system which is a recipe for failure!! Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

At least those vehicles made it to the shop. That has to count for something.🤣🤣🤣When I was living in Georgia, my neighbor had an old GMC truck. He was using 2 pillows on the drivers side because the seat cushion rotted away ( he could not roll up the driver's side window so it stayed open). One day he was taking his grand daughter with him and when he turned left, the passenger door flew open and the girl fell out. Good thing he was driving slow and that girl was pretty tough escaping with just few scratches.
