0:00 Intro.
0:05 "We told her this is exactly why we promote pre-purchase inspections to ensure our customers don't buy someone else's problems."
0:19 This Jeep has a FAD (front axle disconnect), so that's why the front driveshaft does not spin all the time, otherwise that wiring harness would be ripped off and around the driveshaft.
0:29 You can modify the exhaust so the driveshaft is out of the way, but preferably when a Jeep has a certain height of lift kit it's recommended to replace the driveshafts.
0:40 NSF or NSR stands for near side rear or near side front tire (UK).
Easy fix!
0:53 "Volkswagen Caddy from 2011 with ca. 120000 km.
The Car won't shut off. I never saw anything like that in a car before."
1:03 CDs rattling in the passenger side door.
1:12 What's your opinion on this? Unsafe or safe?
1:19 Oil trap/oil filter housing was the issue.
1:27 No extra info.
1:35 Honesty is always the best policy however a good reminder to watch some KZbin videos or read some more info on a job before giving it a try.
1:44 Toyota's are prone to rodent damage due to the soy based wiring they used. However, the customer didn't realize they put the soap where the fresh air inlet is.
1:54 No issue found!
2:12 A good reminder to read your owner's manual and be aware of what features your car has before buying it.
2:19 This Toyota Tundra had 4x4 badges but wasn't 4WD.

If it's in the UK, that 2CV is likely to be over 40 years old and therefore doesn't actually need to have the MOT (our inspection), which would usually be annual. If a car over 40 years old is going in for one, it's usually because they've just bought it and want to get it checked over or they've taken it off the road for a number of years and want peace of mind. The car still has to be roadworthy, so even if a car is exempt from the MOT the car can still be stopped for being in a dangerous condition and the driver prosecuted.
@556johny556
@556johny556 11 күн бұрын
It’s a 2CV, so if this was in France, the car could’ve been off the road, and therefore not being inspected, or it’s registered as a historic vehicle, meaning the inspections happen every five years, or it’s manufactured prior to 1960 and the rules are different still.

The biggest problem is they don't take notes, pictures or videos to ensure they can put it back together correctly. I replaced my rear struts one time and struggled to get one side back together. I had trouble lining up the bottom end. But I was determined to get it back on. I wasn't about to get a tow. I probably didn't leave the top end loose enough to really get it to move enough or something. Either way i always put it back how I found it. Brakes need to be put back correctly, but you always check your work and listen for any strange sounds and make sure they work.

1:30 while not like this, i actually heard a little road noise when i went to pass someone on the highway, i realized when i stopped at a fuel station that my right rear window was open about a good 2 or so inches 😅. With the chicken in the suspension/underbody, my dad actually had that happen to him once before, he has chickens. I forget where he was going, but, he didnt get too far when he stopped at a fuel station and the chicken hopped out and it ran, my dad tried catching it, other people noticed and helped him out.

I thought it looked like a safe enough way to extend the pedals for someone with short legs. Not everyone fits the physical standard that automobiles are built for and it's probably waaay safer to extend the pedals than to sit with the airbag right in your face... Though that's going to be unpleasant for a tall person to have to drive, like the mechanic getting it into and out of the shop bay...

Moreso with the older cars, newer ones have safeguards that don't let you drive home even though your air cleaner is full of frothy oil sludge because your PCV valve barfed... or let you run about 100 km on a battery charge when the alternator has cacked. On Chevettes, the "you're in trouble" indicator is when the seatbelt light comes on cause there's not enough power to run the solenoid even though there's still enough to make sufficient spark, had it happen on 2 different ones so now I call it a feature!

Back in 1983 my buddy put in a V8 (I think it was a Ford 302 but not sure) in his bagged out Datsun 260Z with a seized engine, and when it came time to redo electrics, he installed a centre console mounted switch pad with about 8 of those little micro toggle switches. Thorough vehicle inspection & test drive, biggest issue to date was replacing the tires (it came with Goodyear Viva 3's which should tell you about the owner's financial status). I liked the one about the cruise control not working because the car didn't have cruise control. Many years ago my younger brother, then 17 years old, went and bought a nice used Sentra on his own. We lived in a hot climate. He told me about the car, that it had a/c, etc. He drove it over to show me after he paid for it. Under hood I noticed there was no a/c compressor or any a/c components, so I asked him to show me the a/c. He pointed to a dashboard button or control that said air. I laughed and told him that was for outside air, not a/c.

The amount of times that "[x] isn't working" and it's just because it was turned off in a setting in the centre console _really_ shows just how _bloody unintuitive_ those things are compared to buttons on the steering column. Meanwhile, in my ‘06 Wrangler with its physical knobs and buttons it takes about 3 days to memorize the control functions and about 3 weeks to develop the muscle memory to operate them without looking.
