@@anareel4562 oh I included them. When you look at the level of competition, to do what Kyle's doing in today's world, im not sure it can ever be duplicated. Yes there are a handful of greats before him, but they would race and maybe 10 cars would be on the lead lap. Look at all the milestone races hes won, against stacked fields, all very well funded cars and teams, all the technology to level out the playing field, and if he shows up, hes the favorite to win. Mario and Stewart said the same thing about Kyle in 2021, so 2 of the greats that are still alive agree with me.

He would have been competitive for sure. I’m old enough to remember him coming up. He was amazing on dirt just like Kyle. That was before sims and practice tools. He is way to modest. I think Jeff is wanting to expand Hendrick past nascar and also making it a brand. Most owners don’t like things like this

Unfortunately the sanctioning snobs at F1 have shut Andretti out even though they have met all requirements. Never mind they have been a part of Formula E since it started and have won championships in it, fielding 2 cars. I’m thinking it has something to do with some of the existing teams being concerned with the new competition and feeling threatened by how well Cadillac has been doing when they run WEC races, and the typical “American cars and motor sports suck compared to F1” attitude a lot of Europeans have.

Sorry folks, Kyle is NOT a stock car driver. Just like SuperTex, Tony and Jeff, he is a SPRINT CAR racer first and foremost. You ask any of those guys what do they love the most, what cars do they prefer to drive, where did they start at, and ALL of them will tell you sprint cars on dirt. Jeff, Tony and now Kyle went to NASCAR because of the paychecks, NOT because they prefer driving a 3400# barge with fenders. Those guys, along with Mario and AJ are open wheel sprint car racers at heart. Period. Its just that sometimes you gotta go do a job that pays the bills first. You ask Smoke and Jeff BOTH their biggest regret, and both of them will tell you its not trying to get their face on the Borg & Warner trophy. Because them fellas are sprint car racers. Ive talked with AJ about this for hours and he agrees with me. Kyle is a bonafide dirt track sprint car guy and he belongs at Indy, not in some rolling billboard with fenders.

Jan Opperman,[ THE ORIGINAL OUTLAW] raced in Indianapolis 500, 4 times. But unfortunately he died racing sprint cars..... and at the time my DAD was the best Sprint car driver in US history.[ You can see him at the Sprint car Hall of Fame in Knoxville]My Uncle Jay Opperman, died in 1970 racing sprint cars in Knoxville. And in 1971 Jan Opperman wins the Knoxville Nationals.
