Es mejor levarlo a alguien experto eso no lo hace cualquiera además se debe tener las herramientas y son muy costosas .

Hopefully you can respond. The AC on my 2010 murano with 90k miles is blowing up hot air and I took it to Lube tires and they quoted me $2700 with taxes for complete AC kit replacement. They said it’s internal damage to the compressor but there is no refrigerant. I am thinking to take it to the dealer to get the quote. Not sure how much would they quote. Any suggestions on cost or in general suggestions? I don’t have any skills to do any of the repair on my own. Please advise!

The advice I’d give would be to get at least three estimates from different shops. Independent and dealer. No lube shops. They probably recommend everything because of the metal inside the air conditioning system. Which is normal but to be sure have others look at it as well. Look online. Many places do free air conditioning checks. The air conditioning machines do most of the diagnostics. Good luck. I hope this helps. 👍

@@HowIFixedIt thank for the response, appreciate it. I did quote from local body shop and they were able to fix it by charging me $1750 and these are the things that they did. 1. A/C System Inspection and Diagnosis: Diagnosed the AC system, finding that it required 1.35 lbs of R134A refrigerant. 2. AC Service: Recharged the AC system with R134A refrigerant. 3. AC Compressor Kit: Installed an AC compressor kit with expansion and receiver/dryer. 4. Drive Belt: Replaced the drive belt.

Now the other body shop who quoted me $2700 were planning to do this stuff 1. Free AC Check: Offered a free AC check, washer fluid check, and noise check. 2. AC Compressor R&R (Remove and Replace): Proposed removing and replacing the AC compressor. 3. AC Condenser R&R: Proposed removing and replacing the AC condenser. 4. Receiver Drier R&R: Proposed removing and replacing the AC receiver drier assembly. 5. Expansion Valve R&R: Proposed removing and replacing the expansion valve. 6. Evacuation & Recharge of AC System: Proposed evacuating and recharging the AC system with a dye to monitor system pressures and temperature. 7. R134A Freon: Included the cost of R134A refrigerant.

@@HowIFixedIt so I don’t know if paying $1750 was the right thing I did given the fact Atleast it’s cooling now and there are some stuff which they did not do which other shop who was proposing to charge $2700. Any comments ?

@@nvasudevafrom the information you sent. I see both shops offering the same services and repairs. Just different breakdowns and descriptions of the services provided. Looks like you got the best deal according to the information. Especially if someone had labor hours involved. Cost of parts with services seems right around the average. I hope this helps. I appreciate the feedback 👍

Where did you add oil in compressor
@HowIFixedIt Жыл бұрын
1 ounce into the compressor directly.. where the lines go into compressor. Then rotate to lube completely internally.. some compressor’s come pre charge just read directions inside the box.. I hope this helps 👍

How did you diagnose this? My wife’s Murano is not cooling. I found high pressure on the low pressure port.
@HowIFixedIt3 жыл бұрын
Did and evacuation and recharge. Found the compressor not turning on. Checked the relay and made sure there was power to the compressor. Relay was good clutch in compressor bad.

I have the same model, and having the issue with the compressor stopping after few minutes from startup on a hot day. Kill the ignition, and restaring the car temporarily fix the issue. During night time or a rainy day, it works normally. I am guessing the temperature sensor of some sort prevents compressor from running. The coolant temperature seems normal. Any suggestions?

I would suggest replacing the desiccant bag with evacuation and recharge the system completely.. especially if the compressor turns on and the AC does operate sometimes.. I hope this helps. 👍

@@HowIFixedIt @HowIFixedIt Thank you for the information. Correct me if I misunderstood, but my understanding of this symptom is caused by a sensor detected a clog(?) in a desiccant bag, and stops cooling cycle as a safety feature?

Hi. The A/C condenser removal for the 2010 Murano is the same for the 2004 proceedure, correct?
@HowIFixedIt3 жыл бұрын
Similar. The process is the same though.

Need to get mine replaced on 2009 murano, same procedure? Is it hard without a lift? Or should I just pay my mechanic lol

It’s the same procedure. Much easier with a lift but not impossible without. I hope this helps. I appreciate the feedback 👍 Thank you!

Average cost on a job like this?
@HowIFixedIt3 жыл бұрын
A Nissan Murano AC Compressor Replacement costs between $1052 and $1084 on average. At a shop. Little under half doing it yourself.

how much oil do u put in , where did u put it in bruh these utube videos only be helpful to a certain extent 🤦♂️
@HowIFixedIt2 жыл бұрын
You need an AC service machine to add oil properly. Can add to the compressor clutch hole out and before installing but it can be messy. I use one ounce of PAG oil for any component replaced. I hope this helps. I appreciate the feedback. Thank you 👍
