It's one of the reasons I got out of that line of work, people don't maintain their vehicles in any way shape or form but then when you show them something like this or better yet pull their engine's dip stick right in front of them that only shows oil on the tip that smells like a charcoal grill and you tell them they need to pay more attention to maintenance on their vehicle without exception the first thing out of their mouth is "I check my oil regularly and change it often", it's like I told one guy, "That's like being a smoker and telling a doctor that's looking at an X-ray of your chest that you don't smoke". They don't maintain their vehicles, they don't even know where to put oil in their car, the only place they do know where something goes is the key in the ignition but when something breaks it's the mechanics fault. A car coming into a shop for some problem only to find that there are major issues is not a big deal. It happens all the time. Many people don't realize the condition of their car until it's badly worn. However, if person refuses repairs, then it becomes an issue. Unless they are going to scrap the car rather than fix it. I enjoy watching these videos, but often wonder what is the back story. They say, "customer refuses repairs", implying that the person just wants to drive it the way it is. There can be many valid reasons a repair is refused. If I found that my cars frame is rusted out badly, I don't want it repaired. I want it scrapped. Some things you just don't fix. It can be cheaper to replace rather than repair.
