0:00 Intro
0:04 Customer States AC not blowing, at least it's an easy fix
0:38 The motor had spun a bearing and hydro locked itself. In the end the car got a new motor
0:52 Got to love customers homemade 'fixes'
1:07 Hopefully there's not many hills on this delivery vans drive
1:20 Turned out to be a loose wire from the coil to the cap arcing off of everything causing the dash to go crazy
1:31 Customer States "my cars got a shaking problem", It's amazing they drove it in like this
1:39 This is a first for me seeing a rear main seal pushed out like this
1:52 Customer States "my brakes get hot" the caliper was completely seized
2:01 Happy ending for this lucky Kitten
2:22 Customer States "my power steering pump sounds like a mini chainsaw cutting wood"
2:37 There's no way you could safely patch that tire
2:44 Customer wanted wheel bearing inspected and the mechanic found this
2:48 Just a 'little bit' of excess play in that turbo
3:03 They would not tell the techs what they hit so the curb is just a guess
3:11 I've never heard this before, I feel like this has to be a tire noise
3:49 They wanted to try fix it and then use it as a daily. I'm really hoping they didn't buy it

Only time I'd buy the puddle story is if they're in south Louisiana. We call it "puddles or potholes" when it rains. And sometimes those "potholes" can eat a whole car. Roads down here are f****d up. There's a buckle in the road near my house. It used to just be a bit of a bump when you hit it at 50mph. With the recent heat wave... you don't wanna be going more than 25 when you cross that thing. Oof.

True. I run a front end loader at a stone quarry and 4 years ago a kitten came in to the office , it was there for three days and always in my seat so I took it home, now he gets me up by 4:40 am if I'm not up yet and as soon as I get home he greets me . if something is not right at night he wakes me. Priceless my opinion.

That dipstick with the glue: run a screw into the plastic in the tube, heat the tube with a torch and it comes right out.
@razvanursache9493
@razvanursache9493 10 ай бұрын
Tried that first. The screw just spat the plastic out until the tip of the screw touched metal. So no joy. I had to remove the entire tube with the dipstick. Should have done that in the first place. It would have been easier.
@rustler08
@rustler08 10 ай бұрын
You need to heat it up, then put the screw in. If you put the screw in first then heat it, the heat expands the plastic around the threads and it's more likely to destruct. The opposite is true if you heat it first then put the screw in: the plastic is already expanded and once the plastic cools it contracts it will actually be tighter on the threads.
@razvanursache9493
@razvanursache9493 10 ай бұрын
@@rustler08 there wasn't enough plastic left for the screw to go in in the first place, because it was snapped close to the metal. It's done anyway.

Sometimes life happens in ways you don't expect. My wife is a nurse, and at the onset of the P-word, nurses were being offered obscene amounts of money. She got a great offer at a hospital 4 states away. I was working from home for a national bank doing credit card fraud claims. We only had one car, and even though I worked at home, I needed transportation. This was in November, and she was going to leave on the 1st, so we had about 3-4 weeks. I found a 94 ZJ, took it for a nice long test drive. The guy was upfront about what worked and what didn't, no issues there. Had some drips but no leaks, tracked straight, sat level. Decent tires and brakes, fluids in good condition. Oil nice and brown, no shenanigans there. Agreed on a price, scheduled a professional pre-purchase, all good. Then things went sideways. Some kind of emergency, plans changed, wife had to leave in 3 days, not 3 weeks. This was nobody's fault. So I had to meet the guy and his wife with the cash, get insurance and register it. It needed to be road legal before she left. We had to skip the pre-purchase, and the only thing he didn't mention is that it has a parasitic draw that will kill the battery in about 5 days of non-use. I don't fault him for that, I'm not even sure if we mentioned it would only bre driven about once a week. That's my long-ass story about why people sometimes don't get an inspection beforehand. On one hand I got lucky. On the other, I had a pretty good idea what to look for.
