0:45 Customer States "Tire Pressure warning light stays on"
0:57 Ouch rough sight to see after this mechanics car got flooded
1:05 Customer States "There's a scraping noise from the right rear"
1:17 Found out where all that missing hydraulic fluid had gone to
1:33 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee came in for not having 4 low
2:01 Customers States “why is my exhaust rattling?”
2:06 This customer had just bought this 1998 Tahoe that had "sat for a while". Overheating cause the head gasket was done
2:15 Customer was doing a rebuild on their ATV and noticed this play from the connecting rod
2:33 Customer States "my tire is flat can you check it?". What.. I wonder how long they drove on this for
2:39 Chrysler Sebring running with no intake. Removed intake to check if injectors were firing and it ran and idled fine
2:52 Customer States "Verify if left sliding door can open BY HAND"
3:10 Customer stated, "I think I've got a slow leak."
3:19 Well the customer was definitely correct on this self diagnosis
3:29 Nothing crazy just a bad battery causing starting issues
3:39 Suspected head gasket however 2x the oil has come out completely fine
3:50 Customer came in complaining of front wheel noise but that’s the rear brakes. Customer agreed to repairs and was fixed
4:07 This is only the 2nd time I have seen an auto vehicle think it has a clutch
4:15 Customer Rolled in with their tire like this stating their TPMS light is on...
4:21 Customer stated there was a "constant rubbing noise and when braking its even worse". Time for some new rotors and pads
4:34 Customer States "bit of a coolant leak and it overheats sometimes"
4:51 2008 Subaru Foresters AC compressor making a weird clunk
5:09 I have no clue so let me know what you guys think below
5:40 Customer had been hearing a "clunking" noise whenever the wheels were turning and found this
6:06 This customer found this knocking sound when inspecting an oddly cheap Ford Focus ST
6:20 It's 'free' but gonna cost quite a bit to get back on the road running with a new engine in it

5:10 the main reason I can think of as to why someone would remove the rear wheel drive components is mostly stemming from either being cheap or not having the money to fix it. The rear diff probably catastrophically failed and they chose the basically free rout and just removed everything so they could continue using the vehicle as a 2 wheel drive model.

It's possible that the rear differential was indeed removed due to failure. However, the CV axle heads were likely left intact as they play a crucial role in holding the wheel bearings together.

Had a Mustang come in the shop some years ago complaining of a rear end shimmy at 80 mph which is above the legal limit. Of the 4 U bolts, 3 were missing, the last one was loose and a piece of chain wrapped around the axle and spring in a figure 8. A cheap nut and bolt from a dollar store holding it together. Customer declined repairs.

I've only ever seen a 4wd delete like that once before. It's probably because something happened to the diff (possibly flat towing behind an RV) and they couldn't/ didn't want to fix it. So you just delete it. It's important to keep the axle stubs going through the spindle because the pressure of the axle nut is what keeps the wheel bearings together. Without it, the bearings would would be trashed in less than 10 miles. And that jeep at the end just had lifter tick. Change cam, lifters, and pushrods and it'll be a better running engine

Apart from failure they possibly sold the rear parts of the AWD system for a few bucks. Depending on the car the parts maybe rare and/or expensive so they either dumped them because they were broken. More realistic or sold them as a car flipper as the usual buyer won't notice and made some money on top. At least these are the two things I think about. Last option might be fuel consumption

Relatively yes. However all wheel drive doesn't mean all your wheels are spinning at the same time. The computer distributes power based on where it detects slip. So if your rear wheels are slipping they receive more power. It's honestly a very complex system and can lead to failure if you don't have tires that are the same size and tread depth. You transmission can stop working on an AWD car if you don't have the same tread depth on all 4 tires. As far as fuel economy the difference is probably 1-2 mpg max between an AWD and a 2wd model. The real difference is in how you drive not the platform you drive.

Also emisions are tested. Every year! And that in a country where most people do only 10 k kilometers a year. Something isn’t right about the 2.7 “running” without the intake. That’s really not possible on a gasoline port injection engine, or at least it wouldn’t start and idle. It would be the same as basically full throttle, since there would be no throttle to limit the airflow. So, it would start and immediately start hammering the rev limiter.
