I called them and what happened was the dealer scheduled the bald tires to be replaced the day I picked up my rental but because I came 30 minutes early that day they never got replaced and the dealer forgot to reschedule it. So in their system it showed them as replaced, but they still wanted to charge me. After several phone calls they agreed to drop it because I was like how did yall knowingly rent me a car with tires that needed to be replaced. I was young so I didn't know how bald tires looked like and how dangerous that was. Someone needs to investigate if Hertz have shares in private prisons. They must be making money out of this somewhere. It looks like a scam.

That police agency has some explaining to do. Even if the car had been stolen, the driver's life never should have been in danger. If the cop believed the driver's life was endangered by the way they stopped him, that agency's policies are a far bigger problem than any policy at Hertz.

When big corp, Walmart calls police for $0.50 candy thief, Police jail the guy within minutes. My business calls Police 911 for guns, gangs, threats, vandalism, big thievery, Police takes 3 hours, then asks me, "what do you want to do, we will be on the look out, just call us next time, do you want to make report..?" Let alone arrest jail anyone. To be honest I don't want to be the cause of suffering or jailing anyone.. Just stating the huge DOUBLE STANDARDS of justice.

My daughter works for Enterprise and they get dissatisfied customers from Hertz all the time. Just last week, she picked up a guy that was hopping mad that they tried a "bait and switch" on him. Imagine seeing your competitor come to take your customer because you'll actually give them what they asked for.

I definitely think the scam that Hertz is running is reporting a car stolen, collect their insurance on it and still rent them out to customer, essentially stealing from both the customer and the insurance company. Smh

So sad that the officer told that hertz employee that he had endangered the customers life by not reporting the car as returned. Why should anyone’s life be endangered just for an object. That officer needs to seriously reflect on what matters more; life or property.

There needs to be an investigation by the FBI since what was done was nation wide. If it is determined that the CEO and board of directors filed false police reports and committed fraud on a national basis they need to be jailed and a court appointed receiver should be chosen to run the company.
@doylefoust48023 жыл бұрын
Renting someone a car that you had reported three months prior stolen and then turn around and report it stolen again and having someone arrested for it it's false claims false reporting to a law enforcement that is a criminal charge any chanderi one of them should be able to come together and file a class action suit
@praneethperera70422 жыл бұрын
This is also on the cops for not properly doing there job. It’s not that hard to just pull over a vehicle and tell the driver the situation and asked to see a receipt, especially if the driver is complying with your orders and not being a threat. Police do this too often where they take a witness complaint about someone or something and think they’re 100% right.

@TastyGoomba3 жыл бұрын
used to work for these big rental car companies. its a mess all around. plenty of fraud from the customers (fake DL's/credit cards, etc) and plenty of shenanigans from management. its so busy, they just want whatever is on the lot to get rented, a lot of times things like this get "missed" (oops). usually if the car is not returned on time and is considerably late with no contact from customer there is an internal "repo" dept that will hunt down the car and get it. if that fails, they'll involve the local police.
