I did bike PDI's when I was 15 during my school work experience. Loved getting each bike ready and perfect for the smiling, excited proud new owner who was usually hanging around eagerly waiting. I'll alway remember the boss mechanic saying to me "leave no trace that you have ever touched this bike with a tool, no marks on any nuts or bolts. Be careful with every turn on a spanner, seat the tool on the fastener and concentrate until it's carefully complete. Never let a tool slip off a fastener, it'll always hit and mark something. Drop nothing. This is somebody's new pride and joy". I slightly messed up the spacing on a couple of numberplates and that pissed me off, that was the trickiest part. Handing the bike over all adjusted and mint was satisfying. These Cooperb vids reminded me of all that. 👍

Test rides check to make sure all the gears work, start to scrub in the tires, seat brake pads, etc. A lot of bikes go out the door with the head light aimed at the tops of trees. Hopefully all brands have assemble and preparation check off sheets and give one to the new buyer. Charging the battery properly helps with the life of the battery. This shop cares and does things properly no matter the extra time it takes to do it right. Good video Deimante.

Some of my more pleasing and relaxing hours last year were doing very light modifications to my 650 Continental. Basic and easy but satisfying with nice results. In some ways like modding the Vostok watches I used to tinker with years ago.

Super video Diemante, expertly prepared. You'd have sold that to me if I'd have been in the market for a new bike. 🤔 🤓 💖

You are going to have to get one. When I did the customising on my Continental GT the hardest part to install was the center stand springs. I could get one on but not the other. I swore alot, barked my knuckles, it was 39C so a bit warm but I couldn't get on the little peg. Needless to say after a cuppa and TimTam it just popped on.

I think they’d be called loose chippings. That’s what the old road signs called them. Small bits of stone on the road before they were squashed into the tarmac. I think the technical term is Chip and seal.

So sump guard or mud flap on the front mudguard? I'd go with the mudflap, old school till the end Tomboy 👍😊. Another enjoyable vid girl, thanks for shairing. As the suns out, im off for a wee cruise so until next time 🤘...

Cool video! I’d definitely get rid of the passenger foot pegs, center stand and the orange reflectors.

I recall fitting a Kettle bar end mirror to my old CB550, 40 years ago. Bleeding thing always loosened off after a few miles, despite loctite, spring washers etc. Let's hope things have improved since then.

Can you take the fairing off the headlight and just have it bare? The plastic and asymmetry irk me for some reason.

Shame the Shotgun has the same speedometer as the cheaper models, it needs the TFT as on the new Himalayan and Gorilla.
