I like it. Especially as they are easily customised.

Your content is just so refreshing. Has that light/relaxed coffee shop feeling to them.

Thank you very much! I’ve never been told that, but what a kind compliment. It’s actually something I’ve been conscious about. I have to keep reminding myself to just slow down, because I’ll often start trying to spit out too much information at once and talk to fast. Also, I’m not trying to be the typical hyper, KZbinr type personality. I just try to present the information as best as I can, while hopefully making it easy to understand. So I’m really glad to hear you find it relaxing. 😊

❤ thank you! At last a good workable vignette. For me that is one of the features that is really missing in Aff Photo and this macro solves my problem for 100%. This combined with maybe some additional Adjustment Layers and the Blend options does the trick!

You’re really welcome! I’m glad you find it useful! I’m kind of surprised I didn’t think of making this macro earlier. But when I did, I knew I wanted to share it. And the great thing, is it easily customizable, and you can swap out the curbs with your preferred method of brightness adjustment. Really happy to hear you’re enjoying it!

You’re very welcome! I while back I made a video on how to create your own macros, so you can check that out to see the process in making your own.

I did something similar based on Olivio's original video. I do a lot of landscape photography and what I find is I like to set my curve to LAB, then adjust the the lightness. In this way, I do not change the colors in the sky and clouds. You could also try leaving the curve RGB and set the blend mode to luminosity. The results are similar but I prefer the LAB curve. This is way better than using the builtin vignette as it really does a poor job on bright blue skies with clouds.

That’s really interesting. I’ve never played around with LAB. I do sometimes set my curves to luminosity when things start getting too saturated, but I’ll have to play around with LAB someday. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the macro. Do you also have a PDF with the actions? I am an 80 year old Dutch person and my English is not very good. Translated with Google

Do you mean a PDF with instructions how to install the macros? I teach how to install the macros in this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHSxiKhue66bnKc

I had built something like this, but your macro is better - This is helpful, say, if you have a team photo and want to put spotlight on a few faces, by duplicating the ellipse layer - so good ! - thank you
@brgphotography9 ай бұрын
I’m glad to hear you found it useful. Yeah, one I discovered you can convert it to curves, and still keep all the adjustment layer effects and blur, it really opened up my creativity.
@brgphotography9 ай бұрын
And yeah, that is a really good idea. You can make a few ellipses and highlight a few faces in a group shot. Especially with a low opacity it shouldn’t been too noticeable, but just enough to brighten up a face or two!

Will these macros only open in Versions Affinity Photo 2 and higher? I keep getting the message "not Affinity files" and it's trying to send them to my old version of Affinity Photo that is still on my computer. If I uninstall my old version of Affinity will my 2.0 version still work without any problems?
@brgphotography3 ай бұрын
That’s strange. These files should work in V2, because that’s actually what I made them in. Have you tried opening them from within Affinity photo? You can import them from a menu in the library, or macro tab. In my other video a made about “my retouching macros,” and show different ways you can import them.
