Blind Lunacy Don't buy the DLC until you reach Lvl 30. You don't need it. You can win as many - and more - games with the Hunting Rifle and the Burst if you learn more. In fact, they are still the best two guns. The perks that come with the game are also the best: Covert Training 2, Reviver, First Aid Training 2, Hawk-Eyed 2, etc Every great load out begins with one of those. Shotgun is only OP at close range, control the map and control the confrontation - that's all you need to do to win -

+Quintin Mason Jr One, my best beginner loadout video. Two, STICK WITH A SINGLE GUN UNTIL YOU MASTER IT. Three, the game is very mature and most of your competition are veterans, which is going to make it 10x harder for you to start improving. So more than ever, stick with it... I mean, you are just going to have to accept that you are going to get your ass handed to you until about LVL 20-30. Use this time to experiment, but be consistent with your experimentation. Once you've leveled up enough to have 12 loadout points. USE THE SUPPORT LOADOUT (see my Best Beginner Loadout) until then. once you do have 12 or 13, this is good custom starting kit: Covert Training 2, Revive 1, First Aid 2 and then the gun you are most comfortable with ... a burst or the semi-auto or full auto. Four, stick to your group. Follow their lead. Stay behind cover until they engage. Be aware of the flank. Memorize the maps.

The Joker loadout is not a high K/D or a high down loadout. I mean, you aren't going to have a 12+ down game with that loadout. I averaged around 7-10 downs with 3-5 deaths. BUT... it is fun as hell to play. And strategically, it is very disruptive. If the team you are playing is very aggressive, it can break their offensive and give your teammates a slight edge. In general, it can really make the opposing team be a little more careful, and break up their plans. It's the "burn down the house" strategy ... and just throws the gameplay into chaos. That's the best use of it... as a sacrificial lamb to give your team an edge. To break up an opposing team's rhythm.

I stumbled upon your video looking for tips and tricks for last of us online multiplayer. I really suck, I'm only a level 7 on PS4. I can't seem to win any matches. I get the lowest score on everytime. it's weird, I could be hiding and some level 800 can come out of no where and do what ever he or she wants to me. Even if I manage to sneak up on someone, they still get the best of me and kill me. I keep playing in hopes of getting better because I love the game but I get owned every single time even if I catch someone off guard or get a hit off first.

score doesnt matter when youre doing atealth build try not to look at the scoreboard since you wont be getting much score or parts dont let the scoreboard demotivate you

+sneaky ruler Depends if you are good with Hunting Rifle or Bow. There's lot's of options. I would ditch the Sharp Ears 3. Go with Revolver, Silenced Hunting Rifle, Covert Training 2. This is pretty good loadout for people not super comfortable with the HR (because it allows you to remain hidden.) Now... you can add Crafter 2 and be a gift-giver. You could add Hawk-Eyed 3, and mark people, which goes well with your sniper rifle. Or -- you could go with a generic - Reviver 1, EE 1, and First Aid 1 - which miakes you slightly better at the other base skills. Honestly, there are so many options. Check out my Assault video for the All-Pro loadout. That was my go-to -- and it has a stealth element.

when looking at the perks, instead of saying "must get X supplies to unlock" it just says "purchase." are these perks only obtainable by buying them, or do I just have to level up a lot more? I'm currently only at level 3.

You unlock Perks or Skills by leveling up with "supplies." At the end of each game, you earn so many supplies depending on how well you played. To unlock all skills (EXCEPT DLC SKILLS), you will need to get to about 7500 total supplies... somewhere around Level 13. Once you unlock them, then there is no purchase... but each one takes a certain number of loadout points --- and at max, you are limited to 13 loadout points per loadout. Hope that all makes sense

TheValiantBob Until you get to Level 13, I would use the pre-built loadout, "Support", that I featured in this video: Best Beginner Loadout Best Beginner Loadout and Tips for Last of Us Multiplayer: Remastered After that, the best perks are mentioned in this series, Customize Your Loadout. Covert Training 2 is probably the most important of the bunch. The rest really depend on your playstyle.

TheValiantBob All the guns take practice. Don't sweat it. The SemiAuto recoil kicks up slightly and rocks left and right... aim in the area of the head and give yourself a gap between shots for recoil to settle. And definitely give it one upgrade as quickly as possible. Every upgrade is going to reduce that recoil and increase the fire rate ... making it easier to manage. Tip video.... I don't have one... and there's not really many out there that I've found either. If you come across one, let me know -

king gut In the early days of TLOU (before one of the first patches), you could keep punching people even if you were getting shot. As it stands today, if someone shoots you -- -it CANCELS your melee attack. Since that change, Brawler isn't really worth having unless you max it and go for the stick. It's not that it's a bad perk, it's just that there are much better ones.

Visually, the smoke is the same --- BUT the radius for getting stunned increases which is what's important for that Joker Loadout. kepoman_94 There may be. It's been common knowledge since the game first launched on PS3. The Naughty Dog developers even confirmed it. During their live Twitch stream about the Left Behind DLC, they showcased the new perks --- one of which was Bomb Expert. The dev specifically coupled Explosion Expert with Bomb Expert because it increases the stun radius and the two perks complement each other. He explained why. I'm sure with a minimum of Googling, you can find a number of sources to verify this.

Easy Peezy. Covert Training 2 with everything. :) It would depend on your gun of preference. If you like the HR, I'd go Covert Training 2 and Hawk Eyed 2. If you like the Burst, I'd go with CT2 and Sharpshooter 3 --- as you get 25 health back per headshot. If you go with Semi Auto, then probably First Aid 2 making for a sneaky Medic class --- the extra parts will allow you to armor up. The remaining loadout points would be best spent on Reviver 1/2 or EE 1.

the joker loadout is freeking cheap. Id say only use it if ur new to shiv killing but once u get better take off smoke3 training wheels.

+MozVesper It's a total troll loadout. It's the Joker, completely obnoxious and aggressive. I chose it because it's the complete opposite of the other loadout that is pure stealth.... it's meant to teach beginners how you can build around one perk and create wildly different playstyles. It's not meant for competitive players. Unless you want to troll people trollololol :)

+Lucky Plays (LuckyPlaze) yeah totally agree, it is meant for more new people just so they can atleast get the hang of being stealthy, as for trolling I can see that too. Ive used it before :/ and man did it just feel wrong. Felt like I ddnt deserve any of the kills I got with smoke3. However I do sometimes use smoke3 but its more of if im able to stalk 2 people and get behind them I can double shiv them with smoke3 :D its awesome amd u feel like u earned it.

MozVesper Exactly. I think the only time it might be useful in competitive play would be against a team that is rush-heavy --- and it might throw them off balance. But there are probably better loadouts for that situation.

+MozVesper I don't see the smoke bomb + shiv tactic as trolling or noobish. It's pretty useless against a team that stays together. You might get one of them but the other 3 or 2 will kill you. It requires patience and good timing. Also it's a two step process, throw the bomb and get to the guy to shiv him (you can be killed before getting to him) whereas something like the molotov cocktail could take out an entire team in one throw and less risk than smoke shivs.
