Just a random thought, have you tried heat anodizing the lock-bar and pocket clip along with all the small hardwear? also have you had a chance to try out orange peeling any copper or maybe brass/bronze pieces - I went over my copper end cap after drilling and screwing it as a mechanical fastening in addition to the chemical epoxy, and it came out very nice

New AD10 owner and subscriber to this channel. Really nice job! And yes, I'd look to buy parts to do this. Just looked out on your channel at Merch. Only non pastel color left is yellow. More interested in a red, deep orange, or deep green. As an aside, the AD-10 pocket clip is nothing short of terrible. Way too broad and tight. Ordered an after-market deep-seat clip. Hopefully, that will be a better long-term solution. Was curious why you didn't fix this as you were doing the rest of the mods?

Awesome to hear, appreciate the support too! I'll hopefully be creating more in the future(variations). I agree, the pocket clip is terrible. I was going to create a Titanium or Steel clip but it's tough material to work with, once I get better tools I'll create better clips🙂

i plan on acid and stonewashing my ad10 soon but im going to paint the outside of the liners so it stays super strong, i just wish i could make the hardware brass

Nice! If you're looking to give the hardware a brass look you can heat anodize them 🤔

You can do mine in the dark Vader theme. I just got it today. It’s a pretty cool knife as it is I guess. It feels like a Demco knife this is the third one of his they like to start closing about halfway which is a cool thing funny how 22 or three different lock these kinds of feel like the same designer, makes sense though

If you don’t mind me asking is it possible to get one of these under 1000 I seen that some people can make it work and I’ve seen them for way way less couple hundred bucks but you know probably get what you pay for

@@KnathansKnives or not thread in the screws all the way? Given there's 3-4 screws it should hold the scales no problem even with half the threading into the tubes. Although it should be easy to find some torx screws in these dimensions only longer to accommodate thicker liners?

Not really, you still have the solid G10 scales(3/16 thick). The Recon 1's are all G10 and they're solid knives.🙂
