Nicole, why not mirror the strawberry arch beds on the other side of the taller raised beds ?? It would look neat, tidy and cohesive, but you could plant different crops and climbers! Like cucumbers, morning glory, tiny pumpkin gourds, sweet peas …. ❤ Love you and Love your channel

You weren’t joking when you said they weren’t cheap. These are pretty awesome and I’d definitely buy them if I could afford it. Buying these would push up the bottom line cost of my flowers and veggies. Because I can’t really garden in the ground anymore (knee replacement), I have turned to straw-bale gardening. I’m on my fourth year now and loving it.

You popped out of the flower bed and I thought, so that's what being in KZbin is like. LOL We raise everything in raised beds because we live where we get a LOT of spring and summer rain and the ground stays soggy all the time. And at our age, raised beds are the way to go. The harvest meets us half way.

Tearing them apart to plant them has to be hard on the plant though right? I have to assume the roots are a tangled mat. I would love to see a video on how she does this and keeps the plants from going into major transplant shock.

@@leahbauer8987 they just pull apart. Since they plants are air pruning their roots are different then they are in traditional pots. They're finer and not the long roots. I've been using them for the past 2 years and love them, will never got back to traditional trays. Its so much faster to just pull these apart then get them out of plug trays too.

Summer squash and zucchini grow well in raised beds. Lettuce is also good in raised beds. You don’t really need to fertilize sweet potatoes, especially with a high nitrogen fertilizer. You may end up with more vine and less tuber if you do. Sweet potatoes love crappy soil. They grow fantastically here in the South in completely unamended clay soils. They can even help break up hard clay soils. They also can put down roots from various points on the vine do anywhere the vine touches the ground, you can get sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes are just one of those tough as nails plants that thrive on adversity and neglect. Which is why they’re such a fantastic veggie for new gardeners who have the space.

I’m starting a raised garden bed this year for the first time with veggies and I have two yellow raspberry bushes doing great and I have cucumbers, tomatoes 🍅 tons of them! Peppers, strawberries, onions, chives, sage, thyme, lavender, rosemary, lettuce and cabbage, and hoping to get squash and melon going this week along with some ground cherries. So fun and it’s producing really great much better than trying in the ground and getting overcrowded by the weeds and bugs. So far so good. I have a raised bed from epic garden in my cart and he has 15% off and I saw your code gives 20% so gotta grab today.

The term "DEER PRESSURE" only refer to hunting. When they are eating your garden it is called "The BROWSE PRESSURE of Deer". Just wanted to share that with you. My sister in Minnesota has serious "Browse Pressure of Deer" especially going after her HOSTA's. [2] Strawberry Roses, Strawberries, and just in time for June's Strawberry moon! he he he!!! [3] Those new raised beds look fantastic. I like how you put down all the layers of woodchips. That is going to be so environmentally friendly. Great job. Then that gorgeous Mushroom compost. Once there is a fork in there turning it a few times to mix it all in,,, is a very healthy growing medium. Fantastic. [4] Laughing at the whistle while you work,, planting sweet potatoes. [5] For the past 2 days I planted over 200 EGGPLANT plants in my beds. Double from last year. Tuesday starts 147 Tomato varieties, and 10 to 12 of each variety. Peppers went in last week. The Old Farmers Almanac is my best friend. Has been all my life. My parents & grandparents used them. Brad is so funny when he is being filmed.
