This skit is terrible. Russell Crowe looks like he's drunk for real, with his fat bloated head. He's slurring his speech, whispering his lines, he's incoherent half the time. It's awkward and painfully boring. Every time I see an SNL skit like this, there's always a comment section full of goobers talking about how funny they thought it was. Makes me wonder about you people.

Ty Cobb wasn't really racist, as least not more than most other people in the early 20th century. I've read he was actually supportive of the league being integrated in the 40's. If you want a racist ball player, a good example would be Ben Chapman. He was a managed by the team of integration and was infamous for constantly harassing Jackie Robinson. (Of course, he's not nearly as well known as Cobb).
