I'm finally happy to see a black stylist who isn't ignoring split ends need to be chopped lol yasss loved this

Empress Urban Divinity most black stylist cut off all your ends 🤣
@TiannaBabeyy7 жыл бұрын
heaven bunch right ! most black stylist don't give af they will cut your shit off blad lmao she actually cares !
@Ashaahlee7 жыл бұрын
Tianna Ray again most people think Stylist just chop off your hair but no if you don't trim your ends often! You will need to chop off ALOT to get the health result. the more you wait months.. years to trim your ends your hair won't grow as it should. longer you wait the more hair needs to be chopped off but the Stylist should tell you before cutting it off
@NinaBaby2106 жыл бұрын
Impress Divinity .....Yes; I love the education and options she expressed regarding "split end Care" Most stylist say, "Cut, cut, cut!" And that's the ONLY way to treat the condition which in affect, IS. However, cutting them off in "stages" IS a viable option when being followed by a Stylist; so as to not risk damage to the rest of your hair. She's a VERY conscientious hair stylist. Something you don't find often in the "salon" experience! Love TierraJ❤️

Ashley Naomi .....I believe you're missing the POINT being made regarding this stylists' technique? Technique matters!

Ayla ASMR Tl 😕 Of course there was one of these comments

Nefertiti Negus ??
@missovercomer24887 жыл бұрын
In my opinion, your comment is implying black girls dont have alot of hair so you're shocked to see her hair so full and long. Its just hard to imagine you making the same comment about a white womans hair being long and full. I could be wrong about your intentions behind your comment, but if so why not jut say you love how thick and full her hair is?
@AylaASMR7 жыл бұрын
Nefertiti Negus I literally just meant it's awesome how much hair she has. Nothing else. Not implying anything else. Not being mean.
@britneytheunicorn28327 жыл бұрын
don't listen to them, I knew what you meant. having a lot of hair & having long hair are 2 different things & im assuming that you were talking about thickness more than length. why bash this person for something she's complimenting!
@mitziivey84058 жыл бұрын
God bless you for not taking it upon yourself to cut that young lady's hair where YOU think it should be cut. You obviously respect her decision to keep it as long as she can and I applaud you! You totally get that our hair is precious and can take a long time to grow. I wish every hair stylist believed in moderation. Love it. Where are you located? I would love for you to do my hair.
@Mz.M.27577 жыл бұрын
Mitzi Ivey girl right!
@MrSilaswalton6 жыл бұрын
Mitzi Ivey our hair does not take a long time to grow and to get long healthy hair you have to cut it strive for healthy hair first and you will get the length it does not do any good to have long but damaged hair with split ends your hair will just keep breaking. I understand though your outlook on black women cutting their hair
@NinaBaby2106 жыл бұрын
silas walton ......Maybe this comment was a little too general, but I'm sure she was mostly speaking for HER hair? Therefore, by the SAME token you cannot speak so generally either and make the claim that "OUR" hair "does not take a long time to grow" because that just may not be factual for A LOT of women. Facts vs assumptions / specifics vs generalities; It is important to remain #focused, first and foremost. But also, to combine that which cannot and should not be combined is basis for a flawed argument. Js
@mundababii32676 жыл бұрын
She said it CAN take a long time to grow. Not that it does. And I applaud her too
@melstarr18645 жыл бұрын
Silas Walton You are right, but the purpose in cutting hair is usually 2-fold: 1) to get rid of unhealthy ends, and 2) to make the hair even. #1 is necessary for healthy hair, but #2 is not (although the style of the hair usually looks better when the hair is even). The stylist should make sure the client is ready for #2 before they do it.
@AshBoogie248 жыл бұрын
I'm in the same position. My stylist told me I need to come back for two more trims but I told her just to cut it all off. I rather have health over length.

+danielle ward I know. I'm just scared to trim my own hair and then I'm scared to let others as well. I went to this natural salon, the first time she trimmed it right, the second time she cut off back all of what I grew. I hated the way she detangled and blew out my hair. I do a better job detangling my own hair, I am just not good at trimming! I'm tired of salon hopping!

My 12 yr old runs from me when I come to her with siccors. A texturizer took her hair out at 9 and she lost a lot of length. 3 yrs of protective styling; the Africans just rip through people hair. We finally straightened to growth check it she has a lot of split ends and did not want me to cut it all off so I'm deep conditioning it and won't put no more heat on it just stretching and slowly trimming as it grows.

You do nice work, but from licensed professional to another, when you were trimming the back perimeter of the hair, I noticed you kept lifting the hair, instead of keeping it flat to achieve that nice blunt line. When you trim or cut hair on a 0 degree angle, keep the hair flat, or you will change the angle of the haircut and have layers, where you don't want them. Your client's hair was beautiful, please keep up the good work.

Do you do natural hair. I'm transitioning and my curl pattern is between 3b and 3c, I have low density and fine strands. It's been hard to find the right products for my hair. I have very fine strands and it's been hard for me to find a stylist that knows what there doing in regards to keeping my natural hair healthy and styled without heat or recommending products that would be good for my hair. I have been to shops that wash, trim and straigten and curl my hair, and didn't know much else to do with it. I'm looking for someone who knows how to do protective styling and can help me transition to healthy natural hair. Where I live I dont have very many hair stylist that knows much about AA hair, so that's why I asked. Thanks for letting me know.

You are awesome. I recently had a similar experience where I needed to cut (trim my hair) more than usual after I used crochet braids for the first time. I regularly trim my hair every other month, but because I wore the crochet braids for a month, I waited a little longer. Thinking I was wearing a protective style, I was surprised how split my ends were. Is it possible the crochet braids style had something to do with the unusual split ends?
