2:30 gah yall train your horses magnificently. She knew to change legs without even being asked. Yall must devote not only time but care, into them from the time theyre born. Ive seen so many horse trainer/breakers who think fear, intimidation and cruelty is the only way to train when it does absolutely nothing but cause a horse to not trust you. Trust is essential when it comes to horses, if they dont trust you, you can't trust them and it becomes a mutual fear of eachother. You'll just end up with a temperamental horse. Yvonne is proof that training and caring for horses with compassion and trust is the only way... her training techniques are so similar to the way my late father trained and i think thats partly why i adore her so much. She loves horses just as much as i do ❤

I have noticed that even at fan 'e Goëngameiden ~ comfortable and cozy home sweet home to our herd, at least one horse will "stand guard" over the others lying down sleeping out in the pasture. Watch for it in the videos. You will see. It's always one, and sometimes two, IF there are a lot of horses spread out a good bit. I find that to be absolutely fascinating. 👁❤Friesian 🐎🐎🐎!

Not sure whether she's at another breeding stable or possibly (given that the other horses obviously aren't all Friesian Horses as I'd spotted a couple of cobs and a grey), a trekking centre, but she'll definitely be loved by all who ride her 😊😊😊.

I love their poses when they are resting their back legs. They look so chic. xD ♥ I wonder if Berber is going to be "wtf has happened with this weather?" and which climate she will prefer more. :D

Those clippers! I need those for my cockers. It's like shearing little sheep.

By Mud Fever, do you mean when they get rashes and ulcers from moisture being trapped against the skin becasue the heavy feathers don't dry out? Is that the same as what Ive heard around here, in the USA, called Rain Rot, or is it something different? Nice to see Minze being more confident and coming forward, instead of shying away from human contact, like he used to. Give the herd a hug from me.

Thank you Yvonne for showing us Berber in Mexico. She looks beautiful and happy - and she even is in foal now, how wonderful! But for the first time I have a serious question, about what you said about Reintje: what do you mean with saying you want her to be luxurious and not baroque? The Friesian horse is a baroque horse by definition, so why would you want to change that? For me the socks on the Friesian are one of its many (not just 7! ☺) beauties. Is there really no other way to minimize the risk of mud fever than to shave (almost) everything off? Wouldn't it be enough to just trim the sock up to the hoofs? Why does all the hair on the frontside of the leg have to be removed? I am fond of your video's, of the beautiful horses and of the way you treat them with respect and love. But all this shaving - to be honest: my heart is bleeding a bit over this...

@@LindaEll89 Thanks Linda. For me Reintje with socks wouldn't be any less chique (on the contrary even ☺), but the men and women jurors appear to have a different opinion... Isn't it a problem for Friesians even to get a permit to compete in the highest national and international dressage competitions?

We have a poodle and you have to start grooming them at a very young age so they cooperate. What age do you start your horses. She is so calm.

How hard would you say taking care of a Friesian is? I would absolutely love to own horses when I’m older and they’ve always been one of my favorite horses :)
