CUT OFF YOUR HANDS | hate somebody

Cut Off Your Hands release their first single in five years with Hate Somebody, a track that comments on anti-social, anti-community behaviour, touching on some of the vitriolic themes of their first album You and I.
Hate Somebody was recorded and mixed by Jeremy Toy at his Spare Room Studios at the LAB and mastered by Dave Cooley (M-83, Common, J-Dilla, Matthew Dear, Die Die Die). This is the first single of a planned EP, due for release in 2017.

You & I was a crucial part of my childhood and teenage years. (Ashamed to admit that but) I had a burned CD copy and been listening to it on and on, I think I could still find it in my parents house. Loved COYH, you always had killer haircuts, great shirts and songs that were levels above the indie kings of that time. Your knack for melody and a hook was second to none. So. I woke up this morning thinking I needed a boost and remembered as a teenager I would always play You & I as the opener Happy As Can Be would always start me up. And it worked. That album still holds up to this day (I'm 30 now). I started to wonder what are you guys doing these days. So I ended up here and I'm pleasantly surprised not only that you still play, but this particular song really caught my attention from the go. I became a musician myself with interest in production and I'm blown away at how great this song sounds on my mac speakers, the stereo is perfect and everything is so juicy, I love it! And the melodies and the hooks are still there - the song is great! Anyway, in case you read comments, I would really like to thank you for guiding me through growing up. Much love!
