When I lived in Dominican Republic and as a kid my siblings and I used to get into the forest just to get to those two trees which destiled a heavenly smell several meters away from them and you get fascinated by it, it's the most exotic flavor and I've ever tasted in my whole life. The last time I ate it was around 16 years ago, I'm 29 now.

Ate some Jackfruit the other day, and had decent taste, firmish, and fairly fruity fragrance. Sorta like? A firm peach or nectarine, not as sweet, sorta chewy and crunchy. I like this fruit and would eat again. Thanks for sharing this video of Jackfruit.

It sounds like your jackfruit is unripe. You can either wait for it to ripen naturally, which may take a few days or weeks depending on the temperature and humidity, or you can try some methods to speed up the ripening process. Some people suggest wrapping the jackfruit in a paper bag or newspaper, placing it in a warm place.
@KitoTVchannel
@KitoTVchannel Жыл бұрын
To know if a jackfruit is ripe, you can use your eyes👀, nose👃, fingers👆and ears👂. Here’s how: Look at its color. A ripe jackfruit will be brown or yellow, like a banana. An unripe one will be green. Smell it. A ripe jackfruit will have a strong smell that is sweet and fruity. An unripe one will have no smell. Touch it. A ripe jackfruit will be soft when you press it gently. An unripe one will be hard. Tap it. A ripe jackfruit will sound hollow when you tap it with your finger or a spoon. An unripe one will sound solid.

@KitoTVchannel

Durian is durian, and jackfruit is jackfruit. The essential difference is in the flesh. After the durian is cut, the flesh is very soft, and the peculiar "smelly" is the most obvious, as if it is looking for a "smelly" foodie. The fruit of jackfruit has a yellow coating, which is eaten when you eat it.
