Hey folks! Let me know in the comments if you agreed with my suggestions, if there are any cards you think I missed, and what commanders from The Lost Caverns of Ixalan you want to see me feature in future polls!

Small tip: Arixmethes' ability to remove slumber counters is a "may" ability, so if you want to keep it as a mana source that evades almost all removal, you can leave it at 1 counter as long as you want. In fact, it could be a surprise blocker if you cast an instant and remove the last counter during an opponent's turn.
@GrazzetMTG Жыл бұрын
All true and thanks for bringing that up.

I liked you having fun with the Commander's backstory section when you didn't have anything to work with. They haven't been adding those for the structure deck alternative commanders for some reason. That and your shots at Great Henge going with the One Ring for the real expensive upgrade.
@GrazzetMTG Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I decided to have some fun with this one sicne the only bit of lore I could find was "Snake who lives in hollow earth", so I'm happy at least some folks enjoyed it (as well as my usual Great Henge Antics).
@chiprichards4668 Жыл бұрын
minor correction, I believe - at 3:30, you mention that the flood counters don't do anything on their own but in fact, per Gatherer, 11/10/2023 The land stays an Island until the flood counter is removed, even if Xolatoyac, the Smiling Flood leaves the battlefield.

Man, this build looks so fun! I think this might be my first build from ‘scratch’ as all of my other commander decks are your precon upgrades. Thanks for the amazing decks! You really are a lifesaver to newer players like me.

It has been mentioned already, but amazing antics with Great Henge + best intro ever. With the obvious highlight being the lore section. 11/10

You are so underrated, when i build a deck you are always tge first channel i check. You always have cards in your builds that are really good and no one thinks about!

There’s two other lands with counters on them that hail from Marcedian Masques (Hickory Woodlot and Saprazzan Skerry) - with the proliferation support this deck has, you’ll get an enormous amount of mana whilst helping our salamander friend get into the fray, flooding the board well ahead of schedule.
@GrazzetMTG Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I though about those... Depletion counters can be a bit annoying to deal with in the early game before our commander comes down but tapping for 2 is really good to get them into play faster - so I can't really fault anyone for running them.

I actually built this smiley boi to focus around the Millenium Calendar and blasting everyone for 1000 😂. Youd be suprised at how fast that thing grows with some proliferation and untaps. Then you can threaten the table with your finger on a Nuke the table button while you swim around and durdle if you want. I love it.

3:27 Wrong. Xolatoyac leaving the battlefield DOES NOT cause the lands with flood counters to stop being islands. It does not work like Toxrill because Toxrill's ability to make the slime counters act as -1/-1 counters is on a separate ability. If you blow up a Necropotence, they still get the exiled cards because it's on the same ability and not a separate line.

Somehow still salty tetzin didnt win, Build a deck for him and he is the most fun ive had in magic period. Quiet a shame not more people will see the great things he brings to the table since hes easily overlooked.
@GrazzetMTG Жыл бұрын
Yeah, looks like the fungus amoungus took the top spot this time, but I agree - Tetzin is a really fun build around for craft tribal and/or just MDFC's and transforming cards in general - so much so that we may see him on a future poll to get another chance at a build (since I do really want to build this one).

Damn. He do be a mood. Nice. Heh. Bad stoner impression aside, amazing deck as always! And holy shit, your glee at the last upgrade! Now as for the vote... you know what? The green one. Not really *hinging* on any particular reason :) Day 852 of waiting for the face reveal... so, any New Year expectations?
@GrazzetMTG Жыл бұрын
I mean, I can agree that that face is probably a mood for sure! And as usual, glad you enjoyed the build and thanks for voting! No real new years resolution on my end this time around, apart from trying to maintain a consistent upload schedule (seeing as I had to take quite a bit of time off last month).

So I noticed your using archideck for the link instead of mtggoldfish. Was there a reason for the change? I'm just curious.
@GrazzetMTG Жыл бұрын
Honestly, it was a change I made due to my last batch of precon upgrades. MTGGoldfish didn't have some of the cards on the site when I was done building the deck (which was due to me trying to get the upgrade out as early as possible) and archidekt did so I went with them. Then I just stuck with them because the GUI look nice and it doesn't do the thing where it lumps the instants and sorceries together in the same category, which I personally found annoying.
@roborob6033 Жыл бұрын
@GrazzetMTG Yeah, I agree the lumping is most annoying thing. Neato.

Sadly, it appears I won't have the time to tackle the Jurrasic Park commanders with Murders at Karlov Manor coming just over the Horizon. Maybe I'll have some time between regular releases to make extra episodes to tackle these, but no promises.

Sweet deck tech, but you really should try to not sound like a badly computer generated voice. It really made watching this a struggle as you over empathized pretty much everything.
