Before discovering the website I was using Gimp to basically cut each individual sprite, no need to say that it was very time consuming and not practical when you have dozens of sprites!

do the math if 7 16x16 files have 2px padding, then make it 20x20 for the 2 added both up and down and sideways, 2x2=4 added on each pair of up and down and left and right

Probably way too late but, Using the example above 1. Get the height and width, 100x2900. 2. Divide the height, by the number of rows. 100/1 = 100 2. Divide the width (2900) by the number of columns(29). 2900/29 = 100 3. The sprite frame is 100x100 This will work for stacked as well, but the sprite sheet must be symmetrical to the sprites. You can tell if its asymmetrical if your division doesn't give you whole numbers. ie No decimals to the right or fractions. 7.66 or 7 2/3

Not a single one on youtube explains how to measure the sprite size of a sprite in sprite sheets with multiple rows and not properly centered images. I don't need any experience to take a perfect cut sprite sheet and convert it with a software. That's very annoying. Thumbs down.

He does say if you have multiple rows and columns to use the Cutting > By number of columns/rows. There is no way to "measure.......not properly centered images." using simple math or this website. The sprite sheet has to be symmetrical, there has to be a correlation between the size of the sprite frame and sprite sheet. if you divide the number of columns and rows by the width and height, you will get a sprite frame size. If it's a whole number, it's symmetrical if it's a fraction or there are decimals places to the right, then it's asymmetrical and you'll have to do it manually. Probably the quickest way is to cut all the sprite frames up into separate images, then stack them so they're centered and export layers or whatever the equivalent is in the software you are using. Sorry no simple solution. (That I know of. :))
