As someone who has no experience with power tools, nor do i own any, this is immensely helpful

Just started a project using super thin plywood from a hobby shop. I figured scoring with a utility knife would be best. Thanks for the video to confirm my hypothesis.

Some floor layers like myself, just use a utility knife, a good Concave blade & strength, we cut plywood all day like that, takes 2-3 cuts and it’s done

Hi, I tried this on similar plywood that also had a foil on top. The foil started peeling and doesn't look too great. Any tips for this?
@defdac4 жыл бұрын
Hmm.. Really sharp blade with very light strokes on the foil in the same cut many times perhaps? Or a pizza slicer 😬

Blade can be used to give shape on mdf board 2mm?
@defdac3 жыл бұрын
Might work, although mdf fibres will probably not snap like plywood.

So score both sides? I'm over here staring at a hand miter saw, utility knife, 3 pairs of sharp scissors & googling besides table saw how can I cut 1/8" thick wood. Thanks for the tip.

Yes both sides! Glad I could be of help.

You are my hero. Using 3mm utility board because mdf is in short supply here & it's only for looks.

Using a rolling bladeknife is even easier for bigger area's.

I want to make toy cars out of wood to sell them. Is this a good way to do it or do I have to use electricity?
@defdac3 жыл бұрын
Cutting out the wheels this way would be less than optimal. I would go for electricity in that case.

how thick is the wood and what kind of cutter are you using?

also wanted to ask if i can use a pen cutter to cut it
@defdac10 күн бұрын
@@manav_2308 if you by pen cutter mean an exacto blade I can't see why that wouldn't work. I use a box cutter and the wood is 2-3 mm thick if I remember correctly.

Can we cut curved edges using this?😀
@defdac3 жыл бұрын
Since you need to cut many times exactly in the same groove repeatedly with force I guess it would be difficult.

How do I cut a circle?
@defdac3 жыл бұрын
I imagine that would be very difficult since you have to cut with quite a lot of force multiple times in the same groove.
