I've been doing this trick for around 10 to 12 years. I'm not 100% sure but I believe I learned it from Jeff Stone. Do you have a source for where this originated from? It's based on Pokers Player Picnic from Royal Road but the basic version went straight to the aces without turning over the top cards and going through the second procedure.
