Most of Mom's friends and family have distanced from us during these years but God has got me through these hard years and he will teach you so much through this time. What an uplifting podcast today. I know first hand the struggle of being a caregiver to BOTH my parents. In home hospice for my Dad with Bladder cancer and ten years later my Mom with Alzheimer's . Being caregiver 24/7 I honestly didn't get more than an hour of sleep if that..but it didn't matter to me my parents dedicated their life to me at every turn wrong or right. I was blessed to be beside my Dad and my Mom when they took their last breaths as a child it was the most beautiful times of my life ..that will only make sense to those of like kind.. they were there holding me when I took my first breath and I was there holding them when they took their last. Full circle moments in life nobody can relate to until it happens. God moments will sustain you.

Great interview Savannah. Both of you are class acts.Take it from me from someone who lost both her parents in recent years out of nowhere. It's so incredibly hard to never hear their voice again so embrace every second of that. I would give ANYTHING to hear my mom and dad's voice again to just feel their touch. They were my only support system and now I have to figure this world out on my own and spend holidays mostly alone. I haven't celebrated a holiday since 2018 and it was big with my parents. Just know that you're not alone in grief whether your parents are alive or not. My mom was my everything and I lived with her till the day god took her home and I seriously didn't think I could breathe without my mom. She was my EVERYTHING! I have to work to support myself which means every time I turn on my camera to record my KZbin videos, I have to function and smile and some days it's harder than heck but we have to go on living. It's just learning how to live without the norm and that's the hardest part. If you ever want to reach out you can find me on my channel or IG, Kristi Allure. I'm a beauty KZbinr but I'm starting a series in January in GRWM videos on how to feel less alone in a world where you're all alone.
