I’ve been using your tutorial for a few years now - every time I need to trim my girls’ hair, I just pull up your how-to. I get nervous beforehand but it turns out great due to your directions. Thanks for the cheerleading remarks along the way, too. It definitely helps!

I like Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum for tangles. It takes a very small amount but lasts a couple of days!

This is the best tutorial I have seen! You would think the complete professionals with like a whole salon would help the most but like this is way less confusing to me

We don’t use any leave in or spray detangler but we use Aussie 3 minute miracle conditioner every time we wash their hair (and rinse it all out) and the only time they get tangles is when they get food in it. WONDERFUL product. We never even brush their hair.

Sounds just like my daughters hair. We use Patene 3 minute conditioner and rust restore leave in conditioner.

What does “overdirect” mean? Is that related to the angle of your fingers holding the hair while your cutting the layers?

Beauty Budget Moms Just to update: I cut my sister’s hair and it turned out fine! She recently had her hair cut in a salon (finally) and the hairdresser said I did a really good job, that there weren’t any odd bits - so thank you so much for your video, super helpful! If we go into lockdown again (hopefully not) I’ll use it again 😊 xx
