Alright, I'd just absolutely love for people to read this, because I feel like this needs to be said. Puerto Rico is an American territory and has been largely influenced by America. New York has a very large Puerto Rican community and over time, their fashion choices may have differed. THAT is why New York is in this video too, I am tired of looking at all these comments asking the same question when it's so easy to just google it or look at the past comments. I myself am a Puerto Rican from the island, and let me tell you that Hispanics do not have a specific ideal to look. Some of us are white, tan, black, especially the ones from the Caribbean. We are a mix of many cultures, and in Puerto Rico, stronger features, such as the nose, is very common in women. Just because a woman has stronger/more prominent features does not mean she is a man, and it doesn't mean you can call her ugly. She is not ugly because she has a larger nose, that is just very common for Puerto Rican women.
@silverwindthefast02
@silverwindthefast02 8 жыл бұрын
The comments that also state that she is too white or anorexic are just wrong. I am 100% Puerto Rican from the island, and my skin is lighter than the woman in this video, my nose is strong and I am very, very skinny. There's nothing wrong with it, Hispanics vary in race and size. Please comment on the video for it's quality and research, not for how beautiful you think the model is or question Hispanic heritage without being properly educated about it first.

+DjXyle don't be dumb Hispanic isn't a race. Hispanics vary in race. She is right. They are white, black and mixed. Some mixed with native Americans but Hispanic itself isnt a race. Biracial people or multiracial people that speak Spanish. Why are people so ignorant over something so simple?

@QueenSelene88 8 жыл бұрын
Exactly! Caribbean people tend to have more African features mixed up, Mexico and Central America, and some areas in South America (Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Bolivia) have more Native-American features, and the people from the Southern tip of South America (Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay) tend to look more Caucasian.

The evolution style in New York was different from Puerto Rico at times, which you can see in the video above. 2: New York has a Puerto Rican population of approximately 1,070,558 which is 23.15 percent of New York's' total population. The country Puerto Rico has a population of 3,548,000. New York is one of the most heavily populated states filled with Puerto Ricans. Hence, why New York is shown as well!

Its refreshing to see that so far all the models they use for this series are non surgically enhanced, natural beauties with distinct features. It seems so many women look the same these days getting similar surgeries and doing their makeup the same way. We need to start perpetuating to love and embrace your own unique features. A healthier message to all!

Yup, it has the largest population of Puerto Ricans outside of the island, and I think Florida is a close second, especially recently. Both my sets of grandparents moved up to NY around the 50's. There is also an annual PR Day parade in the early summer, it's nuts.
