You can easily turn it into a mental game by jokingly making them feel bad for pressing it. Tell them you got cancer and if they press it it'll crush your last dieing wish. I think it could be fun. Not in the way they are doing it of course, the person who presses the button obviously shouldn't be the one that continues to the next person (if it were a one person moves on thing).
