Cute Chimpanzee Noel LOVES Rolling in Paper

After years in medical research, chimpanzee Noel got a special treat in her new home at the Project Chimps sanctuary for former research chimpanzees. Sanctuary staff received a large donation of reusable items from Owens Corning and Hose2Habitat. Noel's caregivers let her play with the paper before it was repurposed for the rest of the chimps and she LOVED it!
Project Chimps is always happy to received needed items for the chimps that might otherwise end up in the landfill.

I just want to say that these chimps are unsung heroes and I am glad to see some research apes get to move on from the lab to have a more enjoyable life. What your sanctuary does for these guys is beyond amazing! These chimps do not realize that because of the experiments they underwent they helped to save human lives. That's why I see them as unsung heroes, they have suffered so others could live. It's sad, but that's the way I try to look at animal experimentation, I am not for it, but I try to look at it as positively as I can.

My heart melted and was in deep scarred pain when I saw the male and female chimps being released in sanctuary for the first time hugging one another supporting one another. You could see the fear on their faces. I was just a bundle of emotion I had cried from the pain they had endured , I also had tears of Joy at the same time for them being able to experience freedom. Thinking about the ones that didn't get to make it to the sanctuary brakes my heart. Shame on us humans that in the name of science that brought them so much pain. My heart is broken that humans can never have enough we are destroying their habitats out of greed even around my home I see deer and other animals running down our city streets because the Forrest all being torn down except one small area. We have a Nature reservation that is no where big enough for these animals that lost their living space and homes. It saddens me to see just how greedy humans can be. Seeing these chimps and other animals of nature reminds me that a simple life is the real key of leading a happy life. All the complicated things of life is what makes us humans miserable . We are to dumb to know that and we just keep up being greedy thinking that some day we will find joy out of greed.
