I am in love with this cake. Love the tutorial. I also want to mention I have seen many tutorials on how to make the board look like it has grass on it but this is by far the best. Thank you for continuing to teach all your followers. Hope you had a nice break in your caravan and it was 100% better than your last muddy one.

What a super cute cake. You make carving your cakes look so easy , this is deffinatley something I find tricky, I always end up with a lop sided cake !!!!!!. I think he'd look good in a top hat and tails, or a swimsuit with a colourful rubber ring and a little duck.!!!!!! Your Giffard is very cute , your cakes always look like they are super too, I just them them all. Take care Tracey. Xx🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗 Thanks for the tutorial really enjoyed watching.🤗🤗🤗🍒🍒

Unbelievable talent 👏 you make it look so effortless! Is there anyway of avoiding elephant skin on fondant im having such a problem with that thank you x
@Cherrycakeco4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes, sometimes it can be just down to the brand! Try a different brand of paste first to see if it makes a difference. Sometimes it can also be caused by rolling out on too much icing sugar (drying the paste out) or working with it too slowly (so it starts firming up before you've finished) xx

@@Cherrycakeco was it Renshaws pre-coloured yellow you used? You also never cease to amaze me. Please could you do a vid on your creative process and though process of ideas and planning how to do a cake, especially a cake like this.
@Cherrycakeco4 жыл бұрын
@@naomiomi7340 Yes Renshaw's pre-coloured yellow mixed with a little white couture (just to take the edge off the yellow a bit) I often mix these pastes together to get my own shades :D Sure! I shall add it to the idea list :D xxx

Brill ill take a look...another question i find when i bake the cakes i get quite a thick crust around the cake is there a way you could recommend to stop this so i can just use the sponge as a naked cake
@Cherrycakeco4 жыл бұрын
Hi Steph! Yes you can add wet baking strips around tin to slow down the baking process for the sides. This will keep them lighter - some people like to use wet newspaper or teatowels, or you can buy 'proper' ones online. It can sometimes depend on your oven though, I have a double oven - both different types. The same recipe, in the same tin will yield different results - one always with a darker crust! I tend to trim my cakes though and end up cutting the majority of it off x
@stephbrookes89864 жыл бұрын
Thank you, ill give it ago just wanted it as a classic victoria sponge just need to find the balance then so i dont have to trim it😁
