Jeep life is the best life. I didn't mind the jeep part of the video. I've had my jeep for almost 2 years now and it's been so much fun! Of course, I love your Della and OMG your mermaids are so dang cute!! I bought the mermaid pattern but haven't made it yet. So, it may have to be my next make. Watching you is like hanging with a friend talking about our projects. Have a good week. Look forward to the next one.

Your yarn wall reminds me of how I collect different types of wood. I keep thinking, “that’s a really good piece of wood” and can’t throw it away or buy some wood for a future project that I may or may not get to. 😂

I love that little duck! I recently started using sturdy plastic drinking straws in the neck of my amigurumi and it works so well. Sometimes I even put stuffing inside the straw for extra sturdiness. I love your craft room! Thanks for the tour 😊

On the neck, Cassandra (craftably ever after)gave me a tip to roll up felt tightly and insert. Sweet softies has 4 ways to firm up the neck too. Your mermaids are so cute.

I’ve made a couple of dolls and the designer said to make another arm/leg to put partially into the body and in the head and that really worked well to stabilize the neck. Beautiful craft room.

My best trick for necks is to add a rolled piece of felt. The cheap stuff works great!

Love catching up with you Marsha! I feel terrible that I’m so behind on watching my faves! 😍 love your craft space, making pretty things is never without clutter. It’s perfect and thank you for the heads up about washing pieces with scrap yarn as stuffing! Keeping enjoying your jeep summer! ☀️🕶️☺️❤️

Hi Marsha, The Friendly Red Fox has does a neck stabilizer tip I highly recommend it! I’ve made a bunch of her patterns and they all turn out beautiful. I can’t wait to see the doll finished! And btw I made a doll for one of my granddaughter and didn’t put a mouth on her so when she plays w the doll she communicates w it by signing 😂

When I used yarn ends for stuffing, I use poly-fil around the outside and then put the yarn ends in the middle.

I heard to use the foam hair rollers from the dollar store to help with doll heads. Very soft ends and thicker than pipe cleaners. I bought some but haven't made a doll yet, so take this with a grain of salt. Beautiful makes as usual. Love that pic of him and the snake 🥰 Lots of love from the Pacific Northwest 🧡

I do like dolls or animals with mouths because that’s what I’m use to from my childhood (I’m a 90s kid like your children) But I was also a preschool teacher for many years and i learned that some early childhood education philosophies belief that dolls (or animals) with out mouths allow the child more creative expression and emotional expression because the child and envision the doll having any emotion or feelings, and not be limited to just the emotion of the mouth on the doll. I haven’t read up on this recently so I don’t know that statistics of this and if it is proven to be better or not for children but it could explain why a lot of crochet patterns leave off mouths.. not to mention it can be tricky to embroider 😂

what I do when I need to stabilize the neck of a doll is, take a piece of plastic embroidery fabric cute a size that fits the neck roll it into a tube, put it in the neck, sew, it in place, and put stuffing in it. because it's sewed in nothing can pop out and with stuffing you can make the neck as stiff as you want

I saw someone stuff with fiber fill but use the yarn ends in the middle so the inside edges of the doll was covered with the poly. Looked slick but no experience yet 🙄🤔😁
