My new favorite episode! (Besides an amazing looking trail build, my favorite parts are all the side stories and loads of great camera angles! As I think of it, that must take a lot of extra work, thank you! These extra elements are what make your trail build videos the best out there! I actually lost track of how many times I rewatched this video and skipped a Berm Peak suggestion. I really want to see your channel soar. Favorite moments: @4:57 Foot pack magic. @0:54 Why not have both? 🤣 @0:09 Bleeping with “COOL” “RAD” text 🤣 @1:28 Goldmine, “Wait” “Thud”
 @4:27 - “Taking my excavator for a walk” 🤣

 @3:11 Awesome drain animation, which also ties into the transition animations, that happen to look like liquid gold (subtle theme going on, nice!) @3:50 Taking your wheel barrow for a run 🤣 @7:17 “DRRRROPPINGG”

Did I just invent a new exterme sport? Running wheel barrows down MTB trails HAHa. And the bleeping at the start cracked me up. At first I had censored swear words but changed it to be cool and rad and it was way funnier. Stoked that this is your favourite episode. I was a little nervous about this one, because I didn't think the feature was all that spectacular. But with the success of the video it really shows that if I work on my story telling skills, the entire process of trailbuilding can be interesting. Thanks for watching Matt

As you mentioned @3:39 you can gap to the old berm and at @6:56 I was thinking the same, I see it as a Hip-to-berm OR maybe a curved wooden wall ride or tall berm that you can air into and feel like a wall ride that can also just be bermed with a unique/fun entrance. I imagine a similar motion to dropping in on a tall half pipe or bowl, such a cool and unique feeling to happen mid-mountain bike trail.

Very nice building techniques! And a cheaper route or maybe even a compliment to your mini excavator would be a Rototiller. I use it where the excavator can’t go and it does a lot of work compared to one human.After the dirt is tilled you then need to draw it into place with your McLeod. The consistency of the soil is so incredible! As well as for sifting it breaks up all the chunks.Also a compactor is awesome but much more expensive proposition.
@cutlaps
@cutlaps 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah goo call on the Rototiller. I have wanted to get my hands on one of them. It would compliment the mini excavator for sure. I usually do all my benching by hand and I think that would speed up the process. I just use the digger for moving large amounts of dirt or filling up the wheelbarrow at a borrow pit. And a compactor is also on my list of things to buy haha. Trail building is expensive!!!

Yes Luke! Aggie is looking sharp and loving this section! (appears a hair cut occurred recently??) Looks like you're carrying some decent pace through there now, I'm sure the little kicker at the end could be something still! If you look closely in this episode she had a haircut halfway through. Looks like a Muppet at the start (my favourite look for her). But mum thought it was time for a trim lol. It's her dog after all. Hmmm i like your thinking on the roller. It's not too bad at the moment if you know how to pop and I'm sure if I sessioned it I could hit it better. I should get the Moruya bikes guys back. I'm sure they would make it look easy. Not sure about the kicker at the end though. Will see when it all hardens up. The new 180 berm will be just after it so it's not a bad thing that the trail has slowed down. You will pick up a lot more speed in the corner again because it's pretty steep down hill. Then I can have some fun jumps back onto the regular trail. I really want to build something out of wood again but I'm not sure if the next section of trail is the right spot for it.

Hey man, awesome work as always. What's the plan long-term? Are you going to open it to the public, charge a cheeky fee or keep it as your spicy secret track?
@cutlaps
@cutlaps 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate! Opening to the public would be sick. But I think insurance would send me broke. Will see where the future leads. It would be cool to do some public trails.

Love the progress of the trail. What drone do you have ?
@cutlaps
@cutlaps 2 жыл бұрын
I have the DJI Mavic pro. Had it for years now since it first launched. Never actually crashed it before and now twice in a month haha. But not the best area for flying, so many trees and the satellite reception isn't the best so it floats around a lot.

Thanks mate! Did your drone survive? Mines still going. There were some issues with the camera at first but seems to have sorted itself out. Christoph hasn't seen the video yet, hope he's stoked when he logs on to KZbin. You can always count on him to watch a MTB video. He loves it.
