My new favorite episode! (Besides an amazing looking trail build, my favorite parts are all the side stories and loads of great camera angles! Did I just invent a new exterme sport? Running wheel barrows down MTB trails HAHa. And the bleeping at the start cracked me up. At first I had censored swear words but changed it to be cool and rad and it was way funnier. Stoked that this is your favourite episode. I was a little nervous about this one, because I didn't think the feature was all that spectacular. But with the success of the video it really shows that if I work on my story telling skills, the entire process of trailbuilding can be interesting. Thanks for watching Matt

As you mentioned @3:39 you can gap to the old berm and at @6:56 I was thinking the same, I see it as a Hip-to-berm OR maybe a curved wooden wall ride or tall berm that you can air into and feel like a wall ride that can also just be bermed with a unique/fun entrance. Very nice building techniques! And a cheaper route or maybe even a compliment to your mini excavator would be a Rototiller. I use it where the excavator can’t go and it does a lot of work compared to one human.After the dirt is tilled you then need to draw it into place with your McLeod. The consistency of the soil is so incredible! As well as for sifting it breaks up all the chunks.Also a compactor is awesome but much more expensive proposition.
@cutlaps2 жыл бұрын
Yeah goo call on the Rototiller. I have wanted to get my hands on one of them. It would compliment the mini excavator for sure. I usually do all my benching by hand and I think that would speed up the process. I just use the digger for moving large amounts of dirt or filling up the wheelbarrow at a borrow pit. And a compactor is also on my list of things to buy haha. Trail building is expensive!!!

If you look closely in this episode she had a haircut halfway through. Looks like a Muppet at the start (my favourite look for her). But mum thought it was time for a trim lol. It's her dog after all. Hmmm i like your thinking on the roller. It's not too bad at the moment if you know how to pop and I'm sure if I sessioned it I could hit it better. I should get the Moruya bikes guys back. I'm sure they would make it look easy. Not sure about the kicker at the end though. Will see when it all hardens up. The new 180 berm will be just after it so it's not a bad thing that the trail has slowed down. You will pick up a lot more speed in the corner again because it's pretty steep down hill. Then I can have some fun jumps back onto the regular trail. I really want to build something out of wood again but I'm not sure if the next section of trail is the right spot for it.
