Sometimes I end up watching one of your videos while just watching random stuff on KZbin. It always reminds me of how fast time flies. I was literally shocked this video is almost 5 Years old already.

Late to the party but I feel the same way. Cutleryliver is in this little corner of KZbin where he's been on there almost since it began and you can watch these nostalgic older videos and see how quickly time flies

cutlerylover quite the eclectic collection! Great video, it's nice to hear you talk about the vehicles and what they meant to you at the time and the purpose they served. I started out with a wrecked 1989 Anniversary Edition 5 Speed 2.2 Turbo Shadow ES that my Dad bought for me from a friend who dealt in clean title wrecked Mopars. We put the car back together ourselves aside from the paint and the frame straightening work. I had it a year and sold it to a friend who then had it for at least another six years. I then bought another wrecked car, a 90 Plymouth Sundance ES 2.5 non turbo, fixed it and drove it for a while then sold that... My Dad said "well, what now?" I grew up around old Mopars, my Dad raced a factory Super Stock 68 Hemi Barracuda and had all of the desirable Mopars that today are worth a fortune... I said "Old car!" he said "What kind?" To which I replied "I want something Pro Street'd" so I began looking and found a 71 Dodge Demon that had been tubed and narrowed, tied chassis and was set up for a big block. Dropped a 440 in it with lots of goodies.. That car was nothing short of evil but truth be told it was too much to drive and consequently it didn't get driven much.. It got about 5 gallons to the mile... :) Got rid of that one and inherited my Mother's 2.5L VNT Turbo LeBaron Convertible GTC which I drove for years (probably 6+) as my daily driver. My parents split and I stayed with my Dad and had a very good job for my age so we went out and bought a 89 C4 Vette and then a 95 C4 Vette and then a 2000 C5 Vette and we did the car show thing till that got old... Meanwhile I bought a 68 Vette Coupe that I was working on, the body was already done but it had no interior when I brought it home. A friend's wife hounded me relentlessly about me selling the car to her and I kept saying "not for sale" and one day I just had enough and said "Give me 15 grand it's yours" it wasn't even done yet.. She looked at her husband and said "Pay the man" well I got 13K cash and his old G-Body, a 305 Pontiac Grand Prix with a Paxton Supercharger. He was pissed at me because it was his "first car" and I told him I had NO intention of keeping the G Body. Sold the G Body to another friend of mine, and the friendship with the other guy ended.. He got pissed off at me because everything was all about him... All about spending money on his WS6 Fire Bird and he wanted no parts of doing anything for his wife. *shrugs* no big loss... I finally had to break down and buy a new daily driver so I found a low milage 98 Dodge Stratus ES and drove that for a few years and honestly can't remember why I got rid of it, but I found a 2001 Dodge Stratus ES 2.7L V6 that an older gentleman ordered from the dealer, it had options I didn't even know you could get on a Stratus. Paid 10K for that car (a steal) till I later found out the track record of the 2.7L V6 as it began to knock at 50k miles... I had a great relationship with a manager at a local dodge dealer and while I was at work my Dad was out "car shopping" for me... He called me at work and said they had an Inferno Red Metallic Chrysler 300C Hemi on the show room floor that had 6K miles and was never titled so it was "new". I went after work and told the manager I was trading in my Stratus and he said "let me guess.... 2.7?" They tried to low ball me because of the ready to explode engine... I said "Look... Here's the deal.. You are going to roll this in the garage after hours and it's magically going to get repaired under warranty, which is something you won't do for me.. Then dump it at auction for 5K.... I want 4 grand" I got it... And I got the 300C for 19 difference. My Dad passed away in 2009 unexpectedly and it turned my world on end... Not only did I lose my Dad and my Best Friend but I also lost a source of income, because the two of us PLAYED HARD... We were just about to sign paper work on a brand new 33' Chapparal Cruiser the week he passed, and I had a 26' Four Winns Cruiser in the driveway... I went into survival mode and did what I had to do to clean up the debt which meant selling off the Boat and some other goodies. In the process I also paid off my 300 and drove it another year... Then Dodge announced the 392 hemi.... And I said "You know what... This would make my Dad smile" so in early 2011 I took delivery of my SRT8 Challenger and I've been beating the piss out of her since! I have a 2015 SRT Challenger Hellcat on order and should take delivery this spring... Crap I forgot about the truck!!! When we decided to get out of the car show scene I took the C5 down to a local Audi dealer and was going to buy an Imola Yellow BiTurbo S4 Audi (APR Chip, Remus Cat Back and Down Pipe etc) and the people on the Audio forums literally talked me out of it.. So I took the Vette to the Dodge dealer and traded it in on a brand new 04 Ram Rumblebee 4x4 and they gave me a check for 2 grand as well. So that's my car history up till now! :)

My first car was an 03 Kia Spectra LS, it got awesome gas millage but after 110,000 miles everything started to break so I sold it and bought my current vehicle. Now I have an 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado. Iv always loved Jeeps because both of my parents had Jeeps when I was growing up. Because my jeep has the old 4.0 liter I6 it doesn't get very good gas millage but damn that thing is dependable! It carried myself and all of my stuff 10 hours from Ohio to Illinois without any problems. I don't think that I will go back to driving a regular car ever again.

I've lost count how many cars/trucks I've owned since I was 16. Longest car I owned was a 1965 Ford Thunderbird. I traded that for a 64 Pontiac GTO. I had a 400hp S10 that had a 350 in it set up for drag racing. My nephew built it and campaigned it when he first started racing this past summer I sold it back to him.

A gm 3.8 v6 is almost a bullet proof engine. You can run them outa oil and they will still run. The only downside was the transmissions. I had a 1993 bonnieville with the 3.8 and by the time i got rid of it it had 368k miles on it and i sold it cuz the transmission went out and i couldnt afford to replace it again.

Chevy Venture is a nice van. That was our family road trip vehicle for years when I was a kid. In the 90's, my family had a Plymouth Voyager and that ugly beast died and went to the junkyard around '97 so we had 2 different Ventures from '97-'05 and my mom wanted an "upgrade" so we got the Uplander from '05 but it didn't last past year 2 because it was a piece of crap. By then I was driving myself and had my own car and my sister had her own car anyway so we usually just took multiple vehicles everywhere.

jeff never get a cadillac with a northstar , i didnt know the electronics were that bad but the engine has a 4.6 northstar and the head bolts come apart at about 100k miles and you can esily dump $3000 to get it fixed and alot of shops wont even work on them because of the poor engine design , sure they have a hell of a lot of power but v8 fwd is never a good idea i mean those are a mechanics nightmare.

Got my license at 19 shared a 03 Toyota tundra with a 4.7 liter v8 in it with my dad first car I learned to drive in we had that car for ten years traded it last year for a 2014 jeep patriot and we share that when I need it but I have a 2014 harley iron 883 that I ride got it back in my as a 23rd birthday present and love the bike was in one accident though lady in a Prius pulled out in front of me got off lucky with a partially fractured ankle and bruised heel didn't have it for a little over a month and got it back the beginning of September she's a tough bike still running fine no major damage just had to replace the exhaust air filter and a few other thing got to love a bike made from steel if I had a sport bike aka a street bike it would have blown to pieces and I would have to of had a lot more done to it then now all I need to do is save up and get a louder exhaust on her so people can actually hear me coming

I only had one car so far, a '99 Dodge Durango SLT 5.2 w/ all the power and optional features. I'm thinking about selling or trading it for a 70's-90's Muscle / Sports Car, Sedan / Wagon, or Pick-Up Truck.

yes they increase performance and give a slight boost and many claim they save on gas...

cutlerylover haha yes, just like any exhaust upgrade :) less back pressure. but.... emphasis on the slight. a nicely engineered kit on my '11 mustang 5.0 (designed for that engine) only gave ~10 hp, which was a 2% increase. All about what aesthetic you want :)
