Regarding the car dealership scene, people focus in on Daniel teasing Johnny but they ignore how friendly Danny was and how is was about to use his friends and family discount and then literally did the job for free. That is just so unbelievably kind and forgiving. Imaging doing something so nice to someone who used to beat you up so badly you couldn't breath. But that just proves what nice guy Danny is. Niether of them are acutally the bad guy when the show "Cobra Kai" started. Johnny and Daniel both wanted to leave the past alone. He is willing to let his ego and insecurities get in the way of seeing Cobra Kai in a new way. Furthermore, he fails to realize that instigating a needless rivalry is something he, his family or students had nothing to gain from. Miyagi would be terribly disappointed in him. Johnny's gang (except Dutch) changed overtime and recognized the error of their ways but still retain their skills albeit for better purposes (Episode: Take a Right). Johnny was adament about the new Cobra Kai foundation of learning the difference between no mercy and no honor and in the beginning, it was quite successful. Take Kreese out of the equation, and Hawk never would've found inclination to jump Dimitri nor would Tory have went all out at Sam. Besides, it was Daniel's student who caused more harm to Johnny's student than any injuries inflicted on Daniel's students. Daniel's daughter wasn't at the wheel, so didn't wreck his car at all. Now Yasmine was an idiot for texting while driving and leaving without swapping insurance details, however, Johnny didn't exactly come across as a sane and sensible human being when he banged on the window and starting shouting.
@milkeschilke71536 жыл бұрын
Yeah I forgot she wasn't at the wheel although she still should've said something and yeah that is true Johnny looked crazy lol. I think it is fair to say that both Johnny and Daniel do have flaws and most of their relationship is the way it is because of lack of communication to one another

The thing about rivals, you love them and hate them at the same time, if you lose, at least it brought the best out of you. I had rivals in baseball in my youth. My team lost in the title game , last inning, (heart breaking), I hated it for years, but when I got older, I found a appreciation for it, because it was the most intense competition in my career. Johnny and Daniel should have the same feeling, it brought out the best in Daniel to step up to a huge challenge and Johnny gave it his best but lost to an intense match.

Makes sense now, Johnny Lawrence is the new Miyagi. He beats up some bad kids. He was that bad kid once. This Miyagi however grew up in Cobra Kai and was rocked out of his passion for martial arts but at least we see that he’s totally redeemed because this is about Cobra Kai. The Miyagi Do part of our current students is that they have been taught defense by Chozen and Daniel, they all have at some point learn from Cobra Kai too. Our new Daniel is of course Miguel and the Johnny Lawrence is Robbie. He had a few drinks during the break and cheated on the Ali Mills of the story or female JL is Tory. Samantha being female DL. Robbie has a loyal gf and he breaks her heart like Johnny did Ali. This is just a theory though. Pretty basic, no deep thought.
