Cutting a Steek

How to cut an Icelandic steek using Ragga Eiríksdóttir's method. The sweater is Hlekkur by Védís Jónsdóttir, published in Lopi 28 (a booklet published by Istex).

Thanks for the video - very interesting! I'm working on an Icelandic jumper at the moment and I'm interested in using this method. As I can't really see it on the video, how did the parts with the pattern not unravel after you've cut it? As i understand this crochet metbod you don't secure all the different colours in each row you crochet. Tia :)

Hey. I just did that yesterday. Now I wonder, which kind of ribbon you use for making the inside "clean"? I am A BIT (not just a bit) that the second colour (you have much more colours), will unravel?!?! or are they really really secured?

My schedule for myself is very tight ...every night for a couple of hours I'm knitting my sweater.....how long did it take for you to complete your beautiful sweater or did you have any help ....did you do it by hand..... or use a knitting machine.... just asking..... coming from a happy knitter.....
