cool way to cut the barrel

The staves on these barrels are super thick, harder to cut than most realize. Do you sell these planter’s?

I used to sell them privately and to garden shops. The market for barrel decor completely changed when Covid came around. People wanted to buy complete barrels to diy things for themselves, I guess because everyone was stuck at home. So I switched to just selling full barrels. I don’t too much in barrels anymore but I did have a lot of fun making some cool stuff

Hi diybuilt, In this video, you show a stand with bearings that you roll the barrel on. What bearings set did you use to assemble the stand?

What was inside the barrel when you opened it? Was that from original manufacturing?

@@richeyrich2203 sadly nothing, it was a used barrel from a winery lol

@@DIYBuilt I watched it several times and it definitely looks like something was inside. Rods or something. Was it actually the staves falling in when you opened it? Looks like square stock in the video.

@@richeyrich2203 those are strips of oak called flavour sticks, sometimes they add them to the inside walls of the barrel to get more flavour into the wine.
