Omg the game is so good! So similar to chess in the way that you can offer pawns or pieces in order to gain a positional advantage! It’s all about positional play! Just look like you lose until the very last move! Jajajajaja Magnificient. 7:21 Yeah it’s like chess. It’s not about attacking or defending moves, it’s about The move. Using prophylactic thinking, restrictive play, those concepts.

9:15 I just didn't understand a concept here: when black doesn't connect and white attack the gap, black needs to put a stone on the first line and reduces the teritory by 1. Let me tell by the shape: If black connects, the teritory is (let's say closing at the right most black) 7x1. But if white attacks, it becomes 4x1 + 2x1 = 6. Am I missing something here?
@GoMagic2 ай бұрын
Nope. By connecting on the 1st line, Black loses 1 point, but at the same time they can spend this move to get more than 1 point by playing elsewhere.

Hi ! I'm beginning to learn Go and i have a question on the last exemple, isnt letting white "splitting" our stones lead to one less territory in the end ? Is one move not worth saving one point ? Or is a move elsewhere like consolidating another corner worth more than one point in the end ? Thank you for your videos, it really helps me in my journey ;)
@GoMagic Жыл бұрын
Consolidating another corner would cost more in the end
