Awesome! Unfortunately this method doesn't work 100% of the time. I still don't know why, but sometimes there's just no way to make it work. But I'm glad I could help!

ok, quick question, how are you doing to rotate the model and keep using the lasso? Whenever I start to draw with Lasso tool and release mouse, it act as if I'm finish drawing. If I hold shift I can keep drawing but the model rotation is simple terrible. Anyway, thanks for the vid

Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for that. It has happened to me. Sometimes I keep trying until It works, sometimes I just give up. Not the best answer, I know...

how do you click and drag while starting on the model? I can only do that if I start off in the grey outside the model?
@Catuleba6 ай бұрын
That's a good question. That happened to me a few times and I was doing the exact same thing as I always do. Unfortunately, meshmixer is a "moody" piece of software.

What percentage are you scaling the key up to? Resolution is too low for me to read
@CatulebaАй бұрын
The pin that will create the hole was 3.96 mm, and the key one I changed to 3.86 mm. I didn't use percentage. In my experience, leaving a 0.1 mm gap is enough space for any "discrepancy" caused during printing.

Awesome. Thanks for sharing this process. I followed it step by step last night and assumed a 1% scale down factor for the key in the model I'm working in. Yours is more of a 2.5%, so I'll do that in future

great but would have been better with sound explination

I'm considering. Honestly speaking, I have a hard time putting my voice on record. Do you think a (good) AI voice would suffice?
@thomaswakefield68896 ай бұрын
@@Catuleba If you use AI to narrate a tutorial you will lose a lot of followers. I for one will be one of them. If you have a hard time recording your voice I suggest you take up a course in public speaking as it will help you in the long term. Especially if you want to continue to make videos like this.
