This guy knows what up! My windshield is a little too large for my hole, so we broke it trying to install. I'm going to use it for practice, before cutting my new one. 🤞

I’ve seen one of our techs spray the lami with denatured alcohol after already lighting it and it traveled right back to the bottle and set it on fire.

Well done. We done it a lot. Only thing I saw that I do different is, I make one continuous cut where u made two starting in the middle. I would think u are taking a chance having them run apart ?

I'm 53 years old and i was always told it couldn't be done as a hot Rodger and car enthusiast it always made me wonder if that was actually true i saw a Custom car online and was pretty sure the windshield was cut not dropped behind the firewall so I Googled. The question that linked me to KZbin it is a true hono to watch you guys at your perfected Craft and think its kind of cool. You get paid to play with fire for a living LOL

Someone asked "Why they are still watching" lol. It's because every now and then, even if you are not interested, you know you are watching a Blue collar master craftsman. Thanks so much for this post. I'll be watching it a few times more lol

How much do you charge for this? I need the front & rear glass cut for my chopped 56 Olds.
@carlosrootsbassman6 жыл бұрын
Nice videos and very helpful, but I wonder why you use fluid and lighter for the laminate part, instead of just using a propane torch?
@CBlattie6 жыл бұрын
Carlos Roots you cant concentrate the heat like that or the glass will crack. Low slow even heat
@frjfsiuojrsdug4 жыл бұрын
@@CBlattie Would hot air from below work or do you need fluid for some reason?

I had to chuckle to watch you pour and splash that adhesive cleaner while smoking a cigarette. Well, you got the job done without winding up looking like Freddie Kruger or burning down your neighbohood

So what happens if you break a customers glass? Do you pay for a new piece or is it on the customer?
@a1glass7425 жыл бұрын
Use methol hydrate, it will dissolve the laminate without the flame ,

I wonder if he could cut a windshield for a replica Lamborghini Diablo. They don't make the windshields for those anymore.
@comofsomyunguy85995 жыл бұрын
If the glass is available then it couldn’t be cut. The glass he’s cutting was made for that vehicle. The made the roof shorter and therefore can cut the windshield down to fit.

I'm exactly in the same situation except I bought a reproduction diablo windshield and amazingly it's slightly too big for the kitcar.....it took me a year to find one too
