Yes of course it can be easily done with a CNC and I have done that myself...but the skill required for that is all in the cad/cam software and then you just push a button! There's a lot of satisfaction to be got from hand crafting.

Now it can all be done automatically with a laser cutter, without the tediousness.

Handcrafting in wood isn't tedious but I think that watching a laser cutter do its work certainly is. Each to his own
