I've always been told that tree roots pull moisture as far as they throw their shadow. When I farmed it was true on our fields with trees like you mentioned in the video. I don't think it's the sunlight as much as less water

I mowed with a krone big m 420 the other day. it's amazing the difference of speed you can mow at and the ground you can cover with it compared to a tractor and pull behind mower. to bad they are 350,000$!

Actually , the farmer plants 3 different mixtures to make hay . Timothy, Clover , and Alfalfa . Straw comes from the wheat shaft after the wheat has been cut .

Great video. Why did you drive in front of where you are mowing on the first round? I found that if i drive where the second round will be and then drive the opposite on number 2, the discbine will pick up where I knocked down and will never see it. I'm not criricizing, just wondering.

+Dan OH OH I just prefer to have a better view of the side of the mower facing the corn so I can get closer. If I'm further away it can be harder to stay close to the corn and I'd rather it look nice than worry about the little it won't pick up.

Wow Field corn prices are just down rite terrible!!! $3.34 Not gonna make any money!! You guys up their gonna have a Bumper crop this yr ? We didn't plant any field corn this yr just all Popcorn and soybeans and seed beans and were very fortunate this yr our crops look really good after last yr we need a good yr we took a very hard hit last year! On the 10th of July we still had 300 acres of beans to plant it rained so much in June last yr it was sad !!!
